  3. New study reveals how Stonehenge’s Altar Stone crossed ancient Britain

A massive sandstone block at the heart of Stonehenge has puzzled archaeologists for decades. Known as the Altar Stone, the six-ton megalith stands apart from the monument’s other stones because of its unusual origin. Researchers now believe the stone came from northeast Scotland, around 700 kilometers from Stonehenge..

  6. Recent #geological analysis provides the strongest evidence to date that Stonehenge’s massive stones were transported by humans rather than glacial movement during the Ice Age, effectively debunking the long-standing "glacial transport theory."

  9. We should be rather embarrassed at suggesting that orange #powder almost certainly the stuff thrown around in a highly photogenic way at festivals, and #photographed could damage #Stonehenge , a massive structure from 5000 years ago - the Neolithic farmers built solidly.

  10. Britain's oldest tree, the #FortingallYew, is 'undergoing a sex change' independent.co.uk/news/uk/home (2015)

"#Perthshire’s Fortingall #Yew, estimated to be ~5,000 years old (older than #Stonehenge), is considered male as it produces pollen, as opposed to female yews which bear seed-holding berries. However... 3 ripe red berries were spotted on one of the ancient yew’s branches this year, suggesting at least part of the #tree had become female... many other #conifers have been observed to switch sex"

  11. “For all intents and purposes, it looks like a crop circle!”
    Sure it does, #GiorgioTsukolos

What exactly are #intents and #purposes I'm expected to believe in the scientific study of Crop Circles?

Hmph. Oddly, ol' G didn't elaborate on it.
