No hablo del Carnicero de Gaza, que para él es todo una huida hacia adelante y mientras siga manteniendo al país en guerra sigue esquivando a los tribunales israelíes. Pero terminar la guerra sin haber derrocado a los ayatolás es una derrota humillante y un desprestigio que internamente va a pesar (ya se está empezando a resquebrajar la coalición en el poder). Y eso es lo de menos.
La movida gorda para Israel es a qué coste todo este órdago y ofensiva final contra sus enemigos. El desprestigio de la imagen de Israel logrado con ello es absolutamente abrumador, se ha cargado todos sus argumentos y hasta donde siempre encontró apoyo ahora hay rechazo, quienes siempre lo defendieron ya no lo hacen. Han salido a la luz todas sus vergüenzas. Hace tres años la causa palestina era un asunto marginal y olvidado en el mundo, ahora no solo está más viva que nunca sino que la apoyan quienes antes la rechazaban. Es más, ha habido una oleada de países reconociendo al Estado palestino. Nethanyahu exigiendo al canciller alemán que se disculpe por sus críticas es otro ejemplo. Alemania, la fiel aliada de Israel contra viento y marea, quiénlo iba a decir.
Pero ni siquiera esto es lo que más debería preocupar a #Israel.

World facing worse energy shock than 1970s oil crisis and Ukraine war combined, says IEA chief
The shock to international energy supplies caused by the war in Iran will exceed the two 1970s oil crises and the war in Ukraine combined, the head of the International Energy Agency has said.
Speaking in Canberra on Monday, IEA executive director Fatih Birol said the growing crisis could worsen further because of interruptions to “vital arteries of the global economy”, including fertilisers, petrochemicals, and sulphur.
Mr Birol added that the full impact of the US and Israel’s attack on Iran and Tehran’s subsequent closure of the Strait of Hormuz was not initially understood by world leaders.
