  6. This is not the movie version. Henry S. F. Cooper focuses on the engineers and flight controllers who saved three lives from the ground. A 5-star read that stays with you.

  11. @NASA.gov has lots of short Artemis videos on their YouTube channel (@[email protected]), however this 10h10m video of the Artemis II lunar flyby appears to be the closest to a continuous long-form recording of the live stream during that period.

    https://youtu.be/z-j1uxBmis0

After almost 14 minutes of intro footage, this live recording has some amazing moments in context such as when the Integrity crew named the two craters on the moon, the forty minute “Loss of Signal” (LoS) as Integrity went behind the moon (into a solar eclipse), and of course all the very efficient (and competent) communications between the astronauts and Mission Control (with video of both).

And quotes like Christina's “We do not leave Earth. We choose it.”

Lots of long durations of silence as well. Fitting for a recording of video from space. Also great for putting on in the background while working. The crew comms with control competency alone is inspiring.

Note: the #NASA and #SpaceflightNow YouTube livestreams I linked to five days ago are now only displaying the message:
“This live stream recording is not available.”
a different kind of Loss of Signal.

    🎥 Video
    ===================

Executive summary: Alex Finn demonstrates a custom "Mission Control" dashboard that materially extends OpenClaw by providing a centralized interface for instructing a Claw to build the tools it requires. The video is a walkthrough of the entire mission control environment and shows how the dashboard mediates between operator intent and agent-produced artifacts.

    Technical overview:
    • The dashboard is presented as a control plane that issues build or generation requests to an agent named Claw, enabling on-demand creation of tooling and artifacts.
    • The design emphasis in the demo is on orchestration, visibility, and dynamic tool construction rather than a static library of helpers.

    How it works conceptually:
    • The dashboard functions as a command-and-control UI where operators define tasks, parameters, or templates and forward those to the Claw agent for execution or tool generation.
    • The Claw component accepts instructions and produces the requested tool or artifact, which the dashboard then surfaces for review and further orchestration.

    Use cases:
    • Rapid prototyping of agent helpers and one-off utilities where a central UI accelerates tool composition.
    • Operator-driven automation workflows that require on-demand ancillary tooling without manual coding each time.

    Limitations and considerations:
    • Centralizing tool construction introduces dependency on the dashboard for observability and control; resilience and access controls matter.
    • The video demonstrates the workflow and UX but does not publish formal integration interfaces or standards, so replication requires understanding the conceptual architecture.

    Practical takeaway:
    • Mission Control reframes OpenClaw from a standalone agent into an agent-plus-control-plane system: the visible dashboard enables faster, repeatable tool generation and orchestration, which can significantly increase operational velocity in agent-driven workflows.
