I have updated my #Apple #MacMini #M4 to #macOS #GoldenGate 27.2 beta 3 and at least #MissionControl is fixed, no more:
- untimely switch away from full screen Spaces
- window disappearing when moved to another Space
- Space are numbered per-monitor again: consistent with keyboard shortcuts

“App Exposé” still behaves a bit strangely and continues to hide minimized windows.

I should have waited for the first point release as usual…

2. Show full-screen windows in App Exposé (and bring back minimized windows as well…)

Following #MissionControl and App Exposé issues on #Apple #macOS27, I was this close to downgrade my #MacMini #M4 to #Sequoia.

Instead I upgraded to 27.2 beta and there are changes, meaning the feature is being worked on:
[+] App Exposé allows again to select widow using the keyboard \o/
[-] App Exposé still no longer shows minimized windows
[=] Cmd+Tab in App Exposé does not switch Application but calls the Application Switcher, which is different but OK.

Also, now “App Exposé” (apparently renamed “Application Windows”) no longer shows minimized windows for an application.

I really hope that this will be fixed in future upgrades, because this added to #MissionControl behaving like crazy really breaks #Apple #macOS window management.

I updated to #macOS27 (foolish me) and… they managed to break #MissionControl.
After the #UI with #LiquidGlass and #Spotlight with #SiriAI, that is another core component collapsing.

Worst of all, this all smells #vibecoding from miles away.

This should have been a “Snow Leopard release” and all we got is a “ #SLOP Leopard release”.

@NASA.gov has lots of short Artemis videos on their YouTube channel (@[email protected]), however this 10h10m video of the Artemis II lunar flyby appears to be the closest to a continuous long-form recording of the live stream during that period.

After almost 14 minutes of intro footage, this live recording has some amazing moments in context such as when the Integrity crew named the two craters on the moon, the forty minute “Loss of Signal” (LoS) as Integrity went behind the moon, came back out, then into a solar eclipse, and of course all the very efficient (and competent) communications between the astronauts and Mission Control (with video of both).

And quotes like Christina's “We do not leave Earth. We choose it.”

Lots of long durations of silence as well. Fitting for a recording of video from space. Also great for putting on in the background while working. The crew comms with control competency alone is inspiring.

@philsplace I am ignoring the existence of #StageManager on #macOS until #Apple reconciles it with #MissionControl, spaces (virtual desktops and full/split-screen apps), and multiple monitors.

It is a bad port of a compromised #iPad window management system.

Hell, apps don’t even remain stable on a given space or screen between launches or attaching/detaching from a second monitor.

I’d go insane if I didn’t have https://manytricks.com/moom to tile and store window layouts.

#macOS の伝統的なアプリスイッチャー（⌘ + Tab）だと、使用履歴順に並んではいるけど、アプリアイコンしか見られない。

逆に #MissionControl（旧 Expose）だと、ウインドウを一覧表示することはできるんだけど、使用履歴が分かりづらい。

#StageManager その両方のいいとこ取りみたいなことをしたい UI と考えると、ちょっと存在意義はあるかも、と思った。
