Space Transfers?
I understand why NASA doesn’t want its astronauts going to orbit on board a SpaceX Starship yet, so they use a downgraded SLS. NASA plans to use Starship to carry the Orion spacecraft to the Moon because the SLS is too expensive.
The Astronauts are not boarding the Starship in LEO because they have tested the life support on Orion, and the cargo Starship won’t need life support. The Angry Astronaut argues the readiness of Starship to carry Orion in the vacuum of space.

I don't understand why people keep repeating the claim that the Artemis II crew was the first to see the Moon's far side. Every Apollo pilot from 11-17 circled the moon repeatedly, so half of every orbit they were over the far side. Except for 13, of course, which used the moon's gravity to do a U-turn to return to Earth, which meant: the entire Apollo 13 crew saw the far side.

Angesichts der bevorstehenden bemannten #Artemis-Mission zum Mond ist es interessant, sich noch mal ins Gedächtnis zu rufen, wie viele Menschen bisher den Mond betreten haben.
Hätte man mich das gefragt, bevor ich das kürzlich recherchiert habe (aufgrund einer Quizfrage übrigens), hätte ich sicher viel zu hoch geschätzt.
Aber macht man sich mal Folgendes klar …
* Apollo 11 war die erste Mission
* Apollo 17 die letzte
* davon sind nicht alle gelandet
* es außer dem Apollo-Programm keine anderen bemannten Flüge zum Mond gab... dann ist wohl schnell klar, dass es kaum 20 gewesen sein können.
Es waren bisher gerade mal *12* Menschen auf dem Mond.
