  2. Good morning. 🌻🌼🌷

    15 February 2026

I’m off to a rough start today. I woke up, shuffled into the bathroom, grabbed my toothbrush, and started brushing my teeth. Within seconds something felt… wrong. I stopped, looked down, and—ugh 😱—realized I was using the little toothbrush I keep for cleaning the tight corners of the sink. Somehow I must have put it in the toothbrush cup instead of back under the sink with the cleaning supplies. I don’t think I’ve ever rinsed my mouth so fast. 🤢 If I could have stuck my whole head under the faucet and let the water run straight through, I would have. Pranked by my own inattention. Ewe!

When I went to let Charlie out, three small gray squirrels were already in the backyard. The moment they heard me turn the lock on the storm door, they bolted, and Charlie tore after them as they scrambled for the hole under the fence. It’s the usual morning routine—three squirrels, one determined dog, the daily game of dog‑and‑squirrel tag. I often see the same trio, though sometimes there are five or six.

During the day, Charlie stations himself at the back door, staring out like a self‑appointed guardian against the “bad squirrels.” When they show up, he comes to get me—muttering, nudging, insisting—until I get up and let him out. It can be a little annoying if I’m busy or trying to nap, but there’s really only one way to make him stop, and that’s to open the door. I can tell him to get in bed, but that only buys a few minutes. Might as well give in and let the guardian do his job.

  3. In a shocking twist of fate, a CEO learned the hard way that forklifts don’t care about conference calls 📞🔧. #OSHA reports are apparently the newest must-read for executives who need a crash course in #multitasking safety 🚜😂.

  4. 🚀🐛 Oh no! A #sandworm named Shai-Hulud decided to slither into our #dev machine and throw a #party on our #GitHub org. But don’t worry, we've got a fancy timeline of how "invincible" our #AI #agents were and how we’re "building next" the ultimate road to... nowhere! 🤖📉

  6. Starship Flight 7 launched. Booster flew as expected, returned to the pad, and settled into the chopstick arms for a successful catch.

Ship 7 was a new design that staged properly with a good engine start. Late in the 2nd stage burn, engines dropped out, then telemetry went dark. SpaceX is calling it a mishap.

  7. Good morning. ☀️🌞😎

    14 January 2025

It's Tuesday, another day and another cup of coffee. It is not yet six in the morning, and I've already finished my first cup. Just think, if not for my pals, Ben and Charlie, I'd be wasting away my mornings sleeping. Somebody has to let the dogs out though - in case you are wondering who ... ruff, ruff ruff.

I had a minor mishap this morning with my coffee grinder. The cup that catches the coffee grounds wasn't completely in place and half the grounds wound up all over the kitchen counter. I hate those first thing in the morning cleanups, they interrupt my routine. If you don't know, people and dogs like routines. it's part of our training.
