  1. #Siskiyou County could retire large water well on #MountShasta instead of approving #AIDataCenter

The inland #NorthernCalifornia site at the edge of town was former Coca Cola bottling plant, sold then expanded to produce flavored drinks, that market shrinking so now sold again.

  5. Brockovich completely destroys the #AIdatacenter narrative. She confirms these massive facilities emit a non-stop, 24/7 deafening noise that is driving local residents crazy.

Erin Brockovich built a national map for residents to report what AI data centers are doing to their towns. Over 3,600 complaints, 49 states. The word that keeps surfacing? Transparency. Back-door deals, NDAs, decisions made in secret. Share if you support stopping these centers in your community!

  7. youtube.com/watch?v=nxUE... #AIbubble #strongsell #nvidia on backlog alone - if a chip booked today cannot be installed for 2 years even if delivered in 6 mos - it'll be obsolete before installed. Junk. #ArrestJensenHuang this is entirely fraud. #AIdatacenter math absolutely can't add up.

The AI boom is a lie: Fake dat...

  9. @EUCommission that is at least a tiny bit, but not nearly enough. Close #Taxhavens , kick out #SurveillanceTech, abandon the #AIDatacenter #bullshit and we'll have plenty to do useful stuff for people who would like to live together in the #EU

  11. I have a weird stance on #AI

Fuck the proliferation of the #AIDataCenter .
(We should buy #silver to slow this down)

But also full steam on AI taking over work.

Not only will we have more free time to overthrow the government. The economy will collapse if the bedrock is slop. Which is a fine thing: let all the stocks collapse. Let all the rich lose all their money. I cheer this on.

Let’s all meet at public parks and discuss. While parks are still public…

  12. The 23-Atomic-Bomb Valley: Why #Utah’s #AIDataCenter Is A #ClimateDisaster In The Making

    by Rex Freiberger
Wed, May 20, 2026 at 11:18 AM EDT

"Your state might be next. Utah counties just approved a data center so massive it would consume more power than the entire state currently uses, dump the heat equivalent of 23 atomic bombs daily into high desert, and potentially increase local #carbon emissions by 55%. Welcome to the #StratosProject#KevinOLeary’s 40,000-acre bet that #AI supremacy trumps everything else."

    [...]

"Utah State University physicist Robert Davies calculated #Stratos would dump 16 gigawatts of #ThermalLoad into the surrounding valley—energy equivalent to 23 Hiroshima-scale atomic bombs worth of #heat every single day. You’re trying to cool massive server farms by blowing hot desert air over hot radiators, Davies notes, which doesn’t work well in high-altitude, arid conditions.

"His projections show daytime temperatures rising 2-5°F and nighttime temperatures jumping 8-12°F across the region. #Desert #ecosystems depend on #NighttimeCooling to generate life-sustaining #condensation. Lose that temperature drop, and you’ve fundamentally altered how plants and animals survive in an already stressed #GreatSaltLakeWatershed."

  14. #Google to tap into gas plant for #AIDatacenter in sharp turn from climate goals

#Texas power plant would emit 4.5m tons of carbon dioxide per year, more than that of the entire city of San Francisco

Dara Kerr, Thu 2 Apr 2026

"According to Crusoe’s 465-page permit application, the power plant would emit as much as 4.5m tons of carbon dioxide, a primary driver of climate change, per year. For comparison, the entire city of San Francisco emits about 4m tons of carbon dioxide annually."

  15. Took a wee trip down the #space #microprocessor rabbithole for this whole #AIDatacenter nonsense.
So state of the art microprocessor performance seems to be the BAE Systems RAD5545 SoC. It draws 35watts. It can do 3.6GFLOPS of compute performance. Everything is triple redundant & hardened.

A Samsung S26 ultra clocks in at 1000x the compute capability... that's running a state of the art 3nm process...

Space Karen is talking about a mythical 2nm orbital class chip process...
    It's a Scam!
