It's been 2 years since my last windows PC died, and I switched to #Linux only.
In these 2 years, I oscillated between several different distros, but always #kde. I think I've settled on #Nobara now, but no promises.
And I forgot all windows skills so hard that I needed to open a ticket for my work laptop when it misbehaved.
I regularly play #videogames on my PC. And it just works. Old ones, new ones, even early access and beta tests.
I also play ttrpgs online, and draw stuff for that. With a #graphicstablet that just works.
Linux got so much better since my uni times. It is perfectly able to just be a desktop for a noob user.
The only thing I had to get used to is when I do updates and it wants a reboot, and you chose "update and shut down", it will actually update and shut down.
Absolutely shocking.
