Slop everywhere
Gerade eben habe ich bei einem Online-Buchhändler zu Büchern über mein Zeichenprogramm Krita recherchiert. Was gibt es, wie aktuell ist es, usw. Dabei fielen mir zwei Bücher auf, eines das 2022 bei Packt-Publishng erschienen ist und als eBook ca. 50 Euro kosten soll. Dieses Buch wird auch auf der Krita-Homepage vorgestellt, scheint also nicht ganz schlecht zu sein. Und dann eines das es für knapp 8 Euro als eBook gibt. Was ja ein Schnäppchen wäre. Also mal schauen, was man sonst so noch herausfinden kann. […] -

@zaenox You may want to take a look at @davidrevoy 's "linux install guide for digital painter workstation", with in-depth explanation of choice of this particular linux distribution for digital drawing: https://www.davidrevoy.com/article1145/interim-install-guide-kde-neon-user-edition-for-a-professional-digital-painter-workstation
Wacom tablets usually work without problems on linux.
However, I don't know how compatible Clip Studio Paint is with linux, a quick search gave "possible with a bit of work to set up, but not an impossible amount". I'm using #krita myself, which runs flawlessly.

Per esercitarmi voglio iniziare da un'illustrazione, accetto "prompt" che verranno realizzati con 𝙄𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙚𝙣𝙯𝙖 𝘼𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙜𝙞𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙡𝙚! ;) ✨

My first Art Fight attack ever, so I tried to put some elbow grease into it! It's a comic featuring Snap and Tello—the toon camera and phone, respectively. They're very close siblings trapped in an underground horror, where Snap is very bubbly and obsessed about the outside world, and Tello likes to work on machines, keeping to himself. This relates to a game I've never played (Dandy's World), to which the character artist has a whole AU series for on Tumblr!
As to my part, I did some research on locations in the game, and the image I painted in the final panel, is heavily based on a personal photograph I took while camping out in the mountains years ago.

I recently set up a 17 yo EEEPC T91MT with Debian.
works fine, but I noticed how *slow* the web is, and of course, on such hardware, compositing is painful, so #Windowmaker it was. (#KDE apps are snappy)
But seriously, people: #krita, a digital painting app lags a bit, but browsing is *annoying*!

I had a dream about drawing some bat-dragon creature. It wasn't exactly #Nargacuga from #MonsterHunter, just something similar. When I later tried to really draw it, I thought it would be very similar even if weirdly different... so just drawing actual Nargacuga #fanart in the same style and pose would make more sense.

I finally started to switch from Photoshop to KRITA. It's not easy and I still own the whole Adobe Suite... But I'm surpriced day by day how well everything works in Krita and I love especially the brush engine.
So don't be surprised if I ask you stupid questions about Krita here...
My first: How do I move selections? I mean the "selected area" not transforming the selected content. Is there really no way? #krita #illustration
