These were easy to carry and so most of my art back then involved playing with those 2 things. I had no formal art training aside from what my mother had taught me (she was a highschool art teacher). Since I now use ink pens that I buy, I'd forgotten about the process of actually dipping the pen into the tiny bottle! And after I discovered oil pastels I rarely went back to watercolor ...
