I'm not a #Nintendo player, but I wanted to throw my 2 cents regarding the complains about the art direction of the upcoming #OcarinaOfTime remake
The devs likely interpreted the original as aiming for a photorealistic style (or the best approximation available at the time), and thus reasoned that a ground-up remake should leverage modern technology to achieve that level of aesthetic quality
Still, if one does not like it, they could always play the 3DS version

Wygląda na to, że mamy wyjaśnienie, dlaczego w remake'u Ocarina of Time Link wygląda niczym lalka lub kukiełka.
Podczas wtorkowej prezentacji pierwsze, co rzuciło mi się w oczy, to właśnie aparycja Linka - jego twarz wydawała się mocno lalkowa i niespecjalnie pasowała mi do reszty oprawy. Jednak im dłużej oglądałem materiał, tym mniej zwracałem na to uwagę.
Okazuje się, że ten specyficzny projekt ma głębszy sens. Na X pojawił się wpis Takayi Imamury - byłego pracownika Nintendo, który odpowiadał za kierownictwo artystyczne m.in. przy serii The Legend of Zelda czy Star Fox. Napisał on:
Patrząc na ten model, poczułem, że... tutaj również wyraźnie przejawia się miłość Miyamoto do „teatru lalek”!
Imamura użył zwrotu "人形劇" (ningyōgeki), oznaczającego japoński teatr lalek (kukiełkowy/marionetkowy), który ma długą tradycję. Jak zauważył inny użytkownik X-a, @drechin_, wygląd Linka jest bardzo podobny do postaci z telewizyjnego spektaklu kukiełkowego Trzej muszkieterowie, wyprodukowanego przez stację NHK w 2009 roku.
I teraz wszystko składa się w całość! Nintendo znane jest z tego, że od czasu do czasu przemyca do własnych produkcji elementy japońskiej tradycji, by popularyzować ją na całym świecie. Wygląda na to, że przy nowej wersji Ocarina of Time zrobiono dokładnie to samo, nawiązując do tradycyjnego teatru lalek Bunraku, który UNESCO uznało za dziedzictwo kulturowe wysokiej rangi.

The difference between the Wii U and this Switch 2 lineup is very simple: the ports are between certified bangers and it's backed up with current bangers. Plus, all Switch games work.
But still... no 100% new games apart from #OcarinaOfTime from yesterday. And "100% new" is a stretch for a remake.

It looks like a very faithful remake of a game I can still dream in its entirety, so I worry it'll offer no real surprises. To that end I installed #ShipOfHarkinian and tried a randomiser, which turned out to be a fun way to subvert expectations and rack my brain while stumbling through Hyrule.
