#AskFedi - fine-point writing on whiteboards?

I recently started using a whiteboard calendar, i.e. a grid with small rectangles for each day. So now I have a use for thin little drywipe pens.

Thinnest type I've found is Edding 361, which comes in various colours and is working fine for a lot of things.

However! Sometimes I want to add some tiny notes in an unobtrusive colour, not distracting from the overview of the calendar. I was thinking grey, but the Edding pens don't include a grey, and the thinnest grey I've found is still a bit too wide. Ideally it would write about as narrow as a sharpened pencil.

What else could I use to write on a whiteboard, even if it wasn't quite as easy to rub off? Does anyone do a really thin grey in water-soluble overhead projector pens? How about grey chinagraph? Or is there some other kind of arty pen or pencil that I don't know about?

I have an online meeting tomorrow that could really benefit from a #whiteboard.

Requirements wise, I'm looking for something that everyone can easily add to AND will work well with my iPad Pro.

I used Google's Jamboard in the past (admittedly, entirely for tabletop RPGs). A quick search turned up #FigJam, #Miro, and #CanvaWhiteboards -- I've used none of them.

- does not require a logged in account to VIEW a board
- is not riddled with data tracking etc. like Miro is?
- isn't completely obtuse/user unfriendly for anyone without a computer science degree?

I am attempting to create a visual reference guide to share images of the characters in my webnovel with potential cover artists, and I have been heavily discouraged from using Miro from an extremely infosec-minded friend. But finding a solution that meets these above criteria has so far proven exceedingly challenging.

Je ne l'ai pas mis hier, mais finalement pourquoi pas… Le premier dessin que j'avais fait pour étrenner le nouveau tableau blanc, c'était un portrait de la famille présente à Nöel (moi compris). Fait sans modèle ; certains sont plus ressemblants que d'autres.

Question for the #nextcloud community/users: Is it possible to open the #whiteboard app for external collaboration, e.g. similar to #miro as an unregistered user?
Sharing the whiteboard file only results in a download option, but not access to the app, eventhough I am allowing editing of the file.

Edit: Nevermind, third try made it work. Not sure what is different except a reboot that I did in the meantime. 🤷‍♂️
