Mein Rechner ist jetzt wieder fertig eingerichtet, hat etwas gedauert (in der Urlaubszeit mache ich halt öfter mal was anderes als am Rechner zu sitzen ;)),
Nur eine Sache habe ich jetzt, die kriege ich nicht in den Griff.
Wie sagt man? Man kauft sich einen Computer, um Probleme zu beseitigen, die man ohne ihn nicht hätte.Vielleicht hat ja jemand von Euch eine Idee?
Tuxedo infinity Notebook mit aktuellem Tuxedo OS (basiert auf Ubuntu 24.04 LTS) neu installiert). Es wurde komplett neu installiert, nicht durch Updates.
Immer mal wieder, NATÜRLICH nicht reproduzierbar, verhält sich mein Touchpad aber seltsam und scheint Klicks zu generieren, wo ich keine mache.
Ich gehe normal wirklich ohne Druck drüber, nur um den Mauszeiger von hier nach dort zu bewegen, und es wird dann der dort befindliche Text markiert, Icons verschoben, oder ein Button geklickt, den ich nicht klicken wollte. und nach einiger Zeit ist das dann wieder vorbei (Ich würde mal sagen paar Minuten), und es läuft wieder richtig.
Zu leicht eingestellt ist es eigentlich nicht, da ich bei gewollten Klicks das schon sehr bewusst machen muss, damit er reagiert.Das macht einen echt kirre.

I've already assumed that my touch pad was broken (or the driver was buggy) because after a tap-and-drag action, the mouse button was not released when releasing the finger from the touch pad.
It was "sticky", e.g. after marking multiple lines of text.
Just found out that this was introduced a while ago in Sway (to follow libinput recommendations):

Setting "drag_lock disabled" in the touch pad's config fixes this. 😌

Started using a touchpad with the split keyboard on suggestion - chose a Peripad 706 and it seems fine.
However, Gnome touchpad/mouse speed and acceleration controls are very far from enough. I've used the measure-touchpad-size trick to get movement speed somewhat to a usable range, but acceleration still needs to go way above the max possible in the settings.
Has someone already solved this?

W nowym modelu Swift 16 AI touchpad zajmuje niemal całą wolną przestrzeń pod klawiaturą. I co najważniejsze – nie służy tylko do przesuwania kursora.
Rysuj po gładziku
Touchpad w nowym Swifcie ma wymiary 175,5 x 109,7 mm. Jest gigantyczny, pokryty szkłem Gorilla Glass i – co kluczowe – w pełni haptyczny (nie zapada się mechanicznie).
Ale prawdziwą nowością jest wsparcie dla standardu MPP 2.5 (Microsoft Pen Protocol). Oznacza to, że możemy wziąć aktywny rysik i pisać, szkicować czy retuszować zdjęcia bezpośrednio na powierzchni gładzika. - Procesor: najnowsze układy Intel Core Ultra Serii 3 (w tym topowy Core Ultra X9 388H).
- Grafika: Intel Arc B390 (do lekkiego gamingu i wsparcia w Adobe wystarczy).
- Porty: pełny zestaw z Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.1 i – chwała inżynierom – slotem na karty MicroSD.

Kiedy i za ile?
Acer Swift 16 AI trafi do sprzedaży w Ameryce Północnej i regionie EMEA (czyli u nas) jeszcze w pierwszym kwartale 2026 roku (prawdopodobnie w marcu). Ceny nie podano, ale patrząc na ten ekran i unikalny gładzik – tanio nie będzie.
Jeśli ten patent z rysikiem na touchpadzie działa tak dobrze jak w zapowiedziach, Acer właśnie rozwiązał problem „brudnego ekranu dotykowego” w laptopach.

Sad day when I gave up coding for it and sold the lot. I went all in on this ecosystem and had fun with it. Very different than today’s big two. Sailfish and the Linux distros like Droidian have a long way to go to catch up.

My mom has an older lenovo yoga 7 that has a couple of keys that are toast. I’ve already ordered a replacement keyboard but I won’t see her again for several months.
Does anyone have suggestions for ten key-less keyboards with a trackpad? Or really any keyboard with a trackpad that’s integrated?
Boosts welcome. I have no first hand exp with any not-on-my-laptop touch pad.

My external #touchpad didn't initialize again today. Tried the trick of putting the PC into Suspend and then waking it up in 15 seconds. Didn't work. However, going into Settings and disabling and re-enabling the touchpad did work.
My keyboard's gaming keys (18 keys down the left side, which I use as twelve function keys plus six navigation keys) also didn't initialize, but I can load their definition file manually with Key-Remapper.
