I made a test ROM for the Oeka Kids drawing tablet for Famicom based on the description at NESdev Wiki. I had someone with a tablet try it.
It didn't work.
The tablet's slow microcontroller requires a lot of waiting in the read routine. The MCU turned out to be so slow that reading a pen position took 67 scanlines, or one-fourth of an NTSC frame. Neither Mesen nor FCEUX modeled this slowness.
It took three revisions before I had a read routine I was happy with. All for a silly little Anpanman licensed game.

So I did try to do some #drawing in #krita with my new #graphicstablet.
I suck.
Well, I suppose I just gotta do it every day and be consistent, that's how I've always learned things :)

My CTL-4100WL Wacom tablet only connects via Bluetooth to the PC when my M650 Logitech Bluetooth mouse is already connected, like, what kind of bug is that?

This report about #Wacom graphics tablets is disturbing for a couple of reasons.
1. They are surveilling users of their #tablet - a human-interface device analogous to a mouse or trackball - recording every application you open, or when you switch between windows of different applications. They are collecting this data via a trip through Google Analytics, aka Spyware Central. There is no possible way to justify collection of this particular data; it is none of their damn business how long you have your drawing program focused before switching to your browser and back again. The author notes their privacy policy really doesn't describe this collection of data correctly, so there really can't be informed consent in the first place.
2. Why on earth is it possible in #Apple #OSX / #MacOS for a USB human interface device driver to capture this information in the first place? Apple shares a big slice of the blame here - this should just simply not be possible for the driver to collect in the first place. Having such a driver allowed to place outgoing HTTP requests is also a big "WTF are they thinking?" moment.

@mykallykan It's the same for me. I have been using #Gimp regularly since 2007. At that time I also got my very first #Wacom #graphicstablet. And it worked smoothly on Linux even at this early stage! 😍
I still have to get used to working with #Krita, and I still have a lot to learn about it. But probably easier for me it feels easier to work with K than for you because I haven't used PhotoShop, Indesign, etc. before.
Still worth the trade though! :D
Yes, absolutely. And for me it's a lot of fun! 😁 -

CRAP 😒
I just can't get my #graphicstablet to work the way I did under #Debian. Basically, the #Medion device works with the #wacom driver. In my 2-monitor mode, however, it is split in the middle, which is rather inconvenient for drawing. In Debian, a two-line #shell file was sufficient, with which I could continuously switch through the states "Both -> Left -> Right" using a keyboard shortcut. Now under #ArchLinux, it just doesn't work anymore. Does anyone know where I'm confused? #Arch #Linux
(Pictures in the german post, if necessary.)

Open-source whiteboarding apps (w/graphics tablet support) have been on my mind recently.
I found Lorien thanks to @itsfoss, so I gave it a try. I like that it's infinite and brightly coloured by default!

What open-source whiteboarding apps do you use?

Well, that was interesting. Found a fix for tilt (and rotation) to work correctly w/my wacom intuos pro s graphics tablet! 🌟 The issue was that `TX=` and `TY=` were not correctly going into the negative, causing weird behaviour.
It was more complicated than I expected so I ended up commenting on this issue with my solution:
