An #Audi #driver in South #Essex got #prison for #driving at 110 mph ( 177 km/h ) on the highway - this is well over the 50mph (80 km/h) limit for that area. he crashed into 3 #Council workers on ride on lawnmowers, causing 2 of them serious injury (hence #jail time even after a guilty plea).
He claimed the "brakes locked up" - vehicle was a mid 2000s Audi S3 ( Typ 8P ) which has very good brakes with ABS if well maintained, but those won't save anyone from driving too fast for the conditions - in a car review from that era there's warnings against pushing it to the rev limiter and that it can become "uncomposed" - the video from the #Police clearly shows him doing exactly that..

When you have a #Fairphone6 and experience very long loading time in some #WiFi networks then you hit most like this bug [1]. Sadly, It is related to #IPv6 and most likely a #driver #bug which needs to be fixed.

This is not the first one that has been flipped / ended up in the side of a house, at least this #driver has only gone to James Paget rather than Addenbrookes so he's not too badly hurt..

Whats more worrying is he clearly isn't driving a wagon up and down the highway for fun - someone employed him to transport something, and isn't vetting their #drivers correctly.
He should be in rehab and nowhere near a vehicle (especially not the same roads I have to drive on, and I've already seen quite a bit of sketchy stuff in #Cambridgeshire )

В прошлой статье мы собрали готовый образ Linux и запустили I2C Master Controller который живет в ПЛИС и управляется драйвером предоставляющим в ОС доступ к нему как типовому I2C-контроллеру. В этой, заключительной части из общей серии статей, я хотел бы филигранно отшлифовать все мелкие недочеты и привести примеры утилит, которые могли бы отправлять нужные нам данные на I2C OLED-дисплей SSD1306, например температуру кристалла, время или что-нибудь еще. Now, that was fairly smooth and very quick. I only had to lift the required cmake-version to 3.5 in CmakeLists.txt to 3.5 and was good to go and compile.
And now I hav a linuxified Microsoft Sidewinder X4 keyboard. Gnihihi... 😜
One of the best ever made - for very little money those days. This one and its brother served me well for like 15 years. And will do for some more time for sure.
