Seit einiger Zeit versuche ich mich hin und wieder an DigitalArt am GraphicTablet. Nun möchte ich ein Ergebnis davon mal nicht weiter vorenthalten, entworfen mit der Medi Bang Paint App. Über meinen kleinen YouTubeChannel könnt Ihr Euch den Entstehungsprozess des kleinen Werkes anschauen ! :)

#FOSS friends! 🐧

I had another #LinuxIsAmazing moment recently: Got a used Thinkpad x13, installed #Aeon on it and everything just worked! 🎉

I then installed #Krita, plugged in my Huion Kamvas #graphictablet and that too worked out of the box! 🤯 No installing drivers, just went into the #Gnome system settings to change what the buttons do.

So cool!

(I haven't figured out a way to configure the buttons on the #pen yet, but 🤷‍♀️)

Work in #graphics ? What an excellent initiative #OpenTabletDriver is : a universal driver for #GraphicTablet (Wacom and beyond - I found my XP-Pen there) that's #opensource, low-latency and has a very practical user interface, available for Linux, macOS and Windows.

Cable yoga, I have to put the USB-C to DisplayPort dongle in this particular position for my Cintiq tablet to work :KEKW:.

Cintiq doesn’t need a dongle for Mac because it’s sending the video signal over usb-c, they’re treating PC users like second class citizens with a flimsy adapter. Also, the cable ports are on the left side so left-handed people are constantly frustrated. They might have improved these things in newer models, my Cintiq is from 2017.

Comparé à beaucoup de créateur d'art digital, mon matériel commence à dater. Un écran tactile pour voir les traits prendre vie directement sous mon stylet serait peut-être un achat utile. Mais les modèles qui m'intéressent sont tellement chers. Et de toute façon, je suis tellement rompu à l'utilisation de la tablette que ça serait plus gadget qu'autre chose...
PS: et que dire de mon clavier de 20 ans d'âge???????

Does anyone know how to use an old #wacom #sapphire #tablet on #linux with #wayland / #sway instead of having to switch to Xorg/i3 for #Gimp to be aware of the variation of pressure put on the pen and which end (pen or eraser) is used?

As a huge #Wacom fan I love my #Cintiq but a portable one would be a dream - Bonus if it runs #Linux :)

I don't know how to map my buttons and I'll need to look up how later.
