Esattamente 8 anni fa la mia tavoletta #Wacom si ruppe. Per farla riparare dovetti spedirla in Germania. Impiegarono più del doppio delle settimane preventivate per ripararla e rispedirmela indietro.
Ma alla fine (il 10 ottobre) arrivò.
Ma era la stessa? Le cose tra noi erano cambiate? Si era creata una frattura emotiva tra me e lei?

J'ai jamais mis d'écran de protection sur ma cintiq. L'ERREUR!
L'usure de l'écran, fait que les traits au centre deviennent flou.
Et pas certaine que je puisse y faire quoique ce soit.

WOW , ive only ever used a non display type tablet and its just crazy how seameless drawing on the cintiq is .

want to make a little stand for it out of wood and such so decided to draw that first :)

Another piece from quite a few years ago I just dug up from an usb drive. I think this was probably made with an old wacom cintiq.

Out of a whim, I decided to get my 10 year old #Cintiq 13HD Companion Hybrid out of storage. #Wacom no longer supports this model, but I got it to run with their oldest driver that supports Windows 11.

I'm not sure what I will use it for, but it was fun trying out the different brushes with #krita . These days I use #Inkscape for most of my graphical design work, but it's nice to have options.

some changes that have helped my #digitalArt feel more comfy:

- putting a textured screen protector on my #cintiq. it feels great to have some grip and bite while drawing on here. if you do this, be aware that it'll tear through your plastic pen nibs. which leads me to my second change, actually!

- switching to a metal nib in the tablet pen! if you do this, make sure that you don't drop your pen--it could get damaged from the impact+metal nib. i bought a metal nib well aware of this possibility. i spent 10 USD to never have to buy wacom's nib refills ever again.

#Wacom/#macOS, ils aiment bien mettre des malus de complexité à leur matos c'est pas possible:

- Mes stylets cliquaient donc à 20 cm de leur tête.
- Premier réflexe: je vérifie que mes logiciels sont bien à jour. On me dit que oui, oui.
- Donc je redémarre on sait jamais.
- Et voilà que la Cintiq est allumée, mais que le Wacom center ne la voie plus?! ( l'inverse arrive souvent, mais ça c'est une première )
- Ok, je re_redémarre.
-Youpi, le wacom center à retrouvé la #cintiq.

Something that just occurred to me as a #DigitalArt thing, combining a #Wacom #Cintiq 27” 4k, and putting the pen on the end of a stick, the way you do in #AnalogueArt to get further back from your drawing surface...

...I could theoretically use an #iPadPro wirelessly via Sidecar as a palette held in my hand, to mix paints, choose tools etc.

Ok, i think i finally managed to dial in the pen settings on my new #Cintiq just right and was able to get some pretty natural penciling feeling going here. The challenge is always being able to take the spirit that is in the rough sketch and relate it when refining the sketch. Always a challenge. #drawing #sketch #manga #foxgirl

Workspace hack - I love using my Sketchboard Pro with my Ipad, but I can also rest my XP Pen 16TP on it! Nice for my drawing arm to have a space to rest, it seems to avoid triggering my RSI symptoms so far. #workspace #digitalart #XPPEN #cintiq #sketchboardpro #ergonomics
