Despite Mastodon being a far more peaceful platform that is not flooded with bots like #X (as far as I have seen on Mindly social& on other instances), it seems strange when and why a follower unfollows and it cannot be even known who it was. Although people are free to follow or unfollow, sometimes the reason becomes important why someone followed and then unfollowed. Anyway, the posts of whatever I share are global and not restricted to followers only.

Being compared (by Barack Obama) to Saddam Hussein is not an insult to Donald Trump. Trump admires murderous dictators such as Saddam Hussein and Vladimir Putin. This explains Trump's strange betrayal of Ukraine. Trump financially helps Russia while Russia helps Iran kill American troops.

The faith that stands on authority is not faith. The reliance on authority measures the decline of religion, the withdrawal of the soul.

Phillips OBrien: "Every Ukraine backer who argued Trump would not be so bad, Trump could be persuaded to back Ukraine, that Trump was getting irritated with Putin, that the US just wanted peace--should have the basic decency to admit that they made it all up.

'Physical Books, But Not Physical Games?' — PlayStation Book Announcement Prompts Confusion Over Sony's Physical Media Stance
Preorders have opened for PlayStation: The First 30 Years, a physical book honoring the gaming giant’s tenured history, but fans aren't exactly in a celebratory mood. The book’s announcement comes as Sony faces continued criticism for its decision to cut disc production, prompting confusion over the new physical media release and an influx of “No Disc, No Buy” replies.
The book itself is a collaboration between PlayStation and Read-Only Memory, a UK-based publisher focused on “premium” gaming and world-building books. A widely available Standard edition is listed at $125, while a Deluxe Edition, listed at $325, will only be available in 1994 copies. Both editions are now up for preorder exclusively from Read-Only Memory, shipping this November.
According to the official listing, the 400-page book “is the definitive visual chronicle of Sony’s world-changing videogame console, marking its 30th anniversary with unprecedented access to the company’s archive of R&D prototypes, concept sketches, and development models.” It collects “insights from the engineers and designers who shaped PlayStation’s identity,” including the “Father of PlayStation,” Ken Kutaragi, the original DualShock designer, Teiyu Goto, and the chief designer on the PS5, Yujin Morisawa.
Sneak peek images show early designs of DualShock controllers and PlayStation consoles — complete with beautiful disc drives.
Fans were quick to point out the curious decision to celebrate the gaming brand’s history with a physical media release. “Just selling collectibles and taking away what we actually want to collect,” said one X user with a sequence of disc emojis. “Just so we’re clear… You support physical books, but not physical games?” replied another.
Earlier this year, Sony announced that it would be cutting disc production for PlayStation consoles starting in 2028. Despite immediate backlash, Sony has stood by the decision. But gamers refuse to back down, taking over the comment sections on pretty much anything PlayStation-related.
While the online backlash is louid, it remains to be seen whether it will affect future launches of physical collectibles, digital games, or even the PS6. Ken Kutaragi, who is featured in the new book, recently backed the studio’s decision, acknowledging that “physical discs have become a metaphor for ‘owning’ games” but ultimately seeing the decision to …

I just realized that my order from #Chewy did not include the automatic water dish I ordered. I use an automatic waterer in my garage for my cat and the one I've got now is leaking. I called Chewy, my phone was answered by a human, and that same human took care of the problem by refunding me for the missing item and re-ordering the item at a discount. It'll arrive in 3 to 5 days. And now I have a small credit on my Chewy account for future use. THAT is good #CustomerService.

Note well: you DO NOT have to rank all candidates. In fact, if you are strongly opposed to certain candidates, don’t rank them at all
I didn’t learn this until too late but luckily now I can remedy that error

Israeli network: Although Trump has stated that Iran will not be attacked before the U.S. midterm elections, he is seriously considering an attack immediately following the November 3rd elections.
Reports from American media indicate that the Pentagon has prepared plans for an extensive, multi-day assault—one far more intense than previous attacks.

The lingering problem is that if I’m not stealing little moments of work time to noodle on that desktop, I don’t know when I’ll get to use it. The time between work and bed is full of annoying chores and dog-walking and heating up half-assed meals for myself and family and fetching shit—endlessly fetching shit.

RFK's comments about 500 million Arabs in the world not producing science, literature or Nobel winners is snooze fest politics. In the 1980's and under the rule of Saddam's Ba'ath Party, members would say that Jews 'voluntarily' left Iraq for Israel, while party critics were accused of being spies for Iran or Israel. All this created was an equally dull echo chamber 🥱
