Here in #california now and then, we'd hear a sad story of someone, perhaps a new-comer to the region, gathering what they thought were edible mushrooms, but were actually #poisonous

Some mycologists at the Santa Cruz Fungus Faire decades ago, giving a lecture, described how they met a person who'd eaten some, said that they were delicious!

But that person said that in the hospital during their last few days alive.
