How Iran’s retaliatory strikes shattered the (Persian) Gulf’s AI dreams of grandeur
When the US and Israel opened their unprovoked assault on Iran, it responded with calculated retaliatory force.
As it struck US-linked assets and allies in the region, swarms of Iranian drones descended upon the (Persian) Gulf's newest high-value targets - American data centers.
Months later, Amazon Web Services facilities in the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain remain largely offline, clients have been ordered to shift data elsewhere.
Emirati officials once touted OpenAI’s role in a massive five-gigawatt Abu Dhabi complex, yet the deal is stalled,.
The damage has eroded the (Persian) Gulf’s marketed image as a safe haven for AI infrastructure.
The UAE, Saudi Arabia, and other (Persian) Gulf states spent years courting US tech giants with promises of cheap energy, easy permits and limitless capital.
The war on Iran exposed those tech aspirations as foolhardy.
Besides the resolve Iran typically demonstrates, its response demonstrated technical competence:
Drones struck high-value American assets without descending into indiscriminate destruction
Fires, infrastructure damage and subsequent water damage from firefighting left critical systems unusable
Banking apps, corporate platforms and fintech services across the region collapsed
Over 130 computing services in UAE and 140 in Bahrain are still disrupted while only a handful have been restored.
The financial fallout has been brutal:
AI data centers are vastly larger and more expensive targets than conventional cloud facilities. Each gigawatt of capacity can cost $50 billion or more
facilities located within ≈ 322 kilometers of Iran sit in a zone of strategic tension that (Persian) Gulf rulers chose to ignore
proposed solutions such as underground construction or local drone defenses only inflate enormous costs
Amazon and Microsoft have announced plans to launch data centers in Saudi Arabia by the year's end – yet these projects are now shadowed by the same existential risk.

We are officially in super mega panic mode.
First the fake Russia-Ukraine energy facilities ceasefire.
Now the fake "Iran desperately wants a deal" narrative. What a bad day for Donnie. Praying for him. It's a dangerous time for Iran and the world.
A cornered narcissist is a dangerous narcissist, he may go ahead and listen to Netanyahu and use tactical nukes against Iran just to prove he is not weak.

Three missiles that struck the southern city of Lamerd on Feb. 28 killed civilians as far as 50 meters (164 feet) from where they detonated, and caused damage more than three times farther away, Airwars found.
The missiles detonated above a sports complex and two residential neighborhoods, Airwars found.
The blasts killed at least 21 civilians, including seven children, according to Iranian officials.
The PrSM is designed to explode midair and propel tens of thousands of dense metal pellets at high speed in all directions. Photos, videos and satellite images of the Lamerd strikes’ aftermath analyzed by Airwars and verified by The Associated Press show buildings, streets and vehicles were heavily pockmarked in a blast pattern that experts say is consistent with the PrSM’s capabilities.

Trump now says cutting a deal with Iran is complicated, because so many Iranian leaders are dead.
"Part of the problem is that a lot of the leadership is gone. It makes a deal tough," Trump told Michael Cohen on WABC 77.
His own team, he claims, doesn’t even know who to negotiate with.
Apparently, demented Donald has forgotten whose missiles, alongside Israeli aircraft, actually did the killing. He also seems to have conveniently forgotten how he himself boasted about assassinating Ayatollah Khamenei.
And now, suddenly, he has no one to talk to? Funny how that works.

Trump on Wednesday escalated his rhetoric against Iran, posting what he called "the MOST CRUSHING ECONOMIC OPERATION EVER TAKEN AGAINST ANY COUNTRY" and threatening secondary sanctions on any nation offering Tehran a "lifeline."
■ He added that any country allowing its financial institutions, businesses, airports, or government entities to provide "any type of lifeline to Iran" would face "TREMENDOUS Economic Consequences," listing oil smuggling, swap lines, cash transfers, exchange houses, ship registries, and front companies as targets.
■ Iranian media dismissed the announcement. Tasnim news agency described it as “grand, exaggerated language” and another version of Washington's failed “maximum pressure” campaign. Fars News called Trump's claims “delusional.”

Iranian attack on US water supply triggers investigation
Story by Matt Cannon, June 16, 2026
"An Iran-linked hacking group claimed that it breached water systems in California, prompting an investigation by one of the state’s largest utilities—even as officials say there is no evidence the U.S. water supply was compromised.
"The group, known as #Handala, said it hacked systems tied to California Water Service (#CalWater) and accessed internal data, framing the cyber intrusion as retaliation for alleged recent U.S. strikes on Iranian water infrastructure amid the joint U.S.-Israel war with Iran that began on February 28."

Americans have Hannibal directive too?
Multiple reports indicate that U.S. fighter jets conducted bombings on the southern side of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad province, likely targeting IRGC or Iranian troops searching for the missing pilot.
Tasnim News Agency confirmed that the strikes took place and stated that the United States is “attempting to kill its own pilot.”

But they have rescue drones flying over the water trying to locate the non existing pilot.

It is terrifying reading the political speeches of #IRI officials and military.
The same, sad, arrogance of those in late 1980s when #Khomeini said he would slap Saddam so hard, he would never be able to get up, leading 10s of thousands of young people to their death against US, France, UK, Italy, German, Saudi, UAE, Jordan, Egypt, Morroco backed army of #Saddam
These lunatics grow up dreaming of #martyrdom, they don't give a shit how many 1000s die fighting yet another war!

Watching "Iranians" in Germany protesting (about 20-30 people) carrying Royal flag, #Israel, German & #US flag while calling for bombing of Iran is the weirdest thing I've seen.
Remember they were denying the fact that loyalist pilots were helping #Saddam during the invasion of Iran in 1980-1989, but now they're openly & proudly advocating similar thing.
I fucking hate the mullahs, have always did, but these pigs are a disgrace & disgusting monsters.
