  1. You bought it. You watered it twice. Now you're not entirely sure what month that was. The plant isn't really about the plant.

  7. - Do you have a few things you know you should be doing regularly, but struggle to stay consistent with?
    - Have you tried tracking them before? What made you stop?

Curious to hear what works, and what doesn't. 💡 🙏

  12. Fourteen minutes. Nothing moving. Your best idea of the week forming. The long shower isn't wasted time — it's the only thinking space your day actually leaves you.

  13. The meeting was fine. The dinner was fine. You didn't need to go. The bathroom break is the only exit from any social situation that requires zero explanation — and everyone knows how to use it.

  14. Same container. Same desk. Same lunch for six weeks. This isn't a failure of imagination — it's one of the most rational decisions you make all day.

  15. Nobody will see it until tonight. You made it anyway. The case for making your bed every morning has nothing to do with tidiness.

  16. I've been thinking about projects like Kagi, and more generally about websites and communities that proudly say: "We don't use AI."

I understand the concern. There are genuine questions around #privacy, cost, centralization and the impact AI is having on the web.

But I wonder whether that position is sustainable in the long run.

Not because AI is inherently good, but because users seem to be changing their #habits.

TITLE: Your brain may not actually “make” decisions

    URL: sciencedaily.com/releases/2026

A neuroscientist is challenging the idea that the brain contains a central system that actually “makes” our decisions. What we experience as choosing may instead emerge from the continuous interaction of perception, movement, the body, and the world around us.

  18. Before your feet hit the floor. Before coffee. The phone is already in your hand — and it's not a bad habit. It's anxiety management with a screen.

  19. Missing one day does not erase the days when you showed up.

Life interrupts routines. Energy changes. Tuesdays go sideways. A habit tracker should help you return when you can, not turn a gap into a warning.

Make the next mark when you are ready. That still counts. 🐝

Why Do Most People Give Up Right Before Success?

  26. A short reflection on Rupert Sheldrake’s idea that #evolution may be driven by #habits rather than by immutable mechanisms enshrined in #natural #law.

    galileocommission.org/rupert-s

An early detractor invoked the reasoning of the Pope who criticised Galileo as a heretic ~ failing to see the irony. The blind pride of these detractors leaves me assuming they are having a trauma response.
