At the start of the year I finished reading George Meredith's The Ordeal of Richard Feverel. It's regarded as 'unjustly neglected'. I'm not sure. Some bold comic strokes, caricature, and social satire, turning darker and more tragic at the end. Moving on to modern novels now. #TeamEnglish #novels #VictorianStudies #19thcLit
