  1. While I'm at it, another personal piece, also from 2015. This one features the entirely trustworthy Affable Scrivener, a Fallen London OC. Heads up for some potential eye strain (and an inimitable moustache).

    Seraphina cradles her killer son

These two pieces of art were made in 2020 or 2021. It’s Seraphina, cradling her serial killer son, Clauson, after she attempted to kill him for his crimes.

She knocked him out with tea and was about to drive a knife into his heart and across his throat, but…

She just couldn’t do it. Despite his actions, he was her little baby. She would rather the courts imprison him than carry out his execution like they wanted.

(These people are dragon shifters btw)

    An alternate version:

WTF… The old growth forest logging legislations of the #Victorian govt (supposedly #Labor and pro-environment — so the National Conference would have it) is a monumental con job to keep the #Loggers and Victorian #LoggingIndustry happy. Never mind the rape and pillage of nature reserves and the damage to econsystems on a #DyingPlanet through massive loopholes in the law. Fuck this.

  14. One of the models for Count Dracula is thought to be Stoker's employer, Henry Irving. This charismatic actor was sometimes viewed as vampirically sucking the energy from those around him, especially his hardworking theatre manager Bram Stoker. Behind his skill, charm and charisma, some people got the feeling Irving didn't have much of a personality of his own, giving an eerie, void-like impression. Stoker had long admired Irving before he started working for him, when he was writing for newspapers as a Dublin theatre critic. Stoker was prone to hero-worship and his admiration may have had a homoerotic tinge, which might be reflected in 'Dracula'. Irving played several highly gothic roles, including Macbeth, Hamlet, Faust, and the captain of The Flying Dutchman. Though his reviews were not always positive, Irving was a mesmerising actor who could leave an audience spellbound. #FairytaleTuesday #folklore #gothic #vampires #books #literature #vampire #history #mythology #theatre #Victorian #weird #Dracula #WorldDraculaDay
