She had huge fights with her dad about it, since she made 1 Mark an hour, while he only received 38 Pfennig with working in the forest for the state. Today's #grandma recording from October 2021 I couldn't transcribe in one round. I is 28:44 long and I had to stop after 20 minutes and over 160 bulleted lines of notes.
It mainly revolved around the mandatory social year, grandma did at her aunt Sophie #Steurenthaler ( https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Steurenthaler-54 ), who lost her husband to the war in that time. She was crying all day for months, which made grandma furious. She promised herself, that she would never be like this. And she said, she wasn't, when her own husband passed away about 20 years later.

unless you've actually literally lived as a woman you cannot know the monumental amount of sexual harassment we face and fear on a day-to-day basis. doubly so for trans women. every single moment i am alone in public i am deathly anxious that i could be harassed (sexually or otherwise) or hate-crimed or whatever. and the worst part is, there's nothing i could do about it. the perpetrator would get away scot-free. the seattle police department is literally full of nazis they would not care in the least bit, and in fact they might hate crime me again if i tried reporting one
however bad you think it is, it's worse. whatever you're imagining, it is exponentially more horrendous
i know this, it is burned into my brain, and yet i go out anyway, in my usual extremely-queer slutty outfits. like i am basically a walking pride flag. because, y'know what they say -- courage is being afraid but doing the thing anyway. if i stop going out places just because i get sexually harassed semi-regularly, the bigots and creeps would win

As part of our Women’s Week, we hosted a session on Financial Confidence, focused on building awareness around saving better, understanding SIPs, and making informed financial decisions.
The day also included a small cake-cutting celebration to appreciate and celebrate the women of InApp, making the moment even more special.
A meaningful mix of learning, appreciation, and celebration.
