This does not erase our differences, but it forbids the Church from using difference as a reason for exclusion, silence, or oppression.
At BMC, we are called to be a community where women are honoured, heard, protected, encouraged, and invited to participate fully in the life and mission of the Church. We give thanks for women who lead, pray, teach, visit, serve, organise, care, and carry the burdens of families and communities, often without recognition. Yet gratitude alone is not enough. We must make space, open doors, share responsibility, confront harmful attitudes, and ensure that our church life reflects the justice, compassion, and the love of Christ. Therefore, women of 1956 teach us that faith must be embodied in courageous action.
