I dropped off some furniture, from our move to the mountains, to a local charity shop.
Of course I had to go in and look around. I scored this never used #Wilton #Christmas #Cookie pan for $4.50.
I expect dropping off charity items being a great adventure!

I had a four-day weekend, and honestly, it was exactly what I needed. Friday, Saturday and Sunday were quiet and peaceful. No big plans. No running around. No bullshit. As I've said before, I care not a whit for fashion (I wear the same thing everyday, the only difference is black or gray). But as I have also mentioned I do, however, care about shoes -- the cute boots are still my fave and people are always saying 'those look comfortable! What are they?' -- and coats and scarves.
Well, today I stopped at the #thrift store (Boomerang) on my walk and behold. I scored this amazing London fog wool coat. It's not black or gray but I really really like it. It's not too heavy, not too light.

I love this hoodie from kiwi designer twenty seven names, just realising now that 80% of this fit came from depop so that’s fun too!

It left me feeling encouraged in my efforts to divest from the surveillance state and help my communities do the same.
I deleted Facebook the other day after the beeswaxgate incident. I want a local/hyperlocal swap meet type of setup that does not involve Facebook Marketplace. I hate that the #buynothing communities are largely using Meta to operate. Anyone have ideas or success stories about how to create something like this that is manageable to operate without big tech?
I'm looking right now for a used laser printer. I know they're all over FBM for between $20-50. But how do I find one otherwise???

Today on #TreasureHuntTuesday I found storage. Found a square rolling cart with a large central cavity and lots of pockets that fits all my bookbinding supplies so I can wheel it out of my studio until I need it. Also found three plastic sets of drawers for $4 US each: perfect for out-of-sight basement storage. I also found a set of shelves to hold machines I rarely use until I need them. This freed up space I can use for everyday purposes in my studio. #reuse #repurpose #thrift
