Lovely SCSI scanner in the box. Love the “_Real_ 1200dpi" branding - no interpolation here! Requires a Power Mac with System 7.5 or up (漢字Talk 7.5)
For some reason - a Deutsche Bahn ICE mouse? No wireless receiver for it though.
And what I presume is a PC AT keyboard?

Guess who found K Dramas on DVD at the thrift store?!?
But even cooler was a local high school production of Beauty and the Beast with what is clearly a student drawn cover from who knows how many years ago burnt onto a DVD by hand?!?!? :neocat_catmode:

In following the random quest for obsolete, LP records, snagged a couple bargain priced ones from the local (non large org) thrift store at my lunch break, and the ladies behind the desk had to go figure out how much to charge, because apparently NO ONE buys records there and they couldn't remember how much they charge. 😂 ($2 each). #thrifting

A brief thrift shop visit last night after Vietnamese supper.
I *almost* bought an attractive #Termocrisa Mexican milk glass mug, but deferred. They're midCentury items similar to the desirable #FireKing, but a bit of different style.
They did have a couple of FireKing ones there too, though they knew what they had, and so had priced them quite high. Affluent neighbourhood thrift shops are a bit different.

My local thrift store has decided that VHS tapes will now cost $2.99 instead of $0.99.
This will probably stop me from picking up anywhere nearly as many tapes as that is wildly more expensive than other spots locally.
Guess I gotta go to the thrift store where I have to climb up a staircase to get fairly priced tapes now. :neocat_sad:

This Panasonic Movie Printer NV-MP1 looks cool! Print screenshots from movies!
Also really love the look of this VHD player. Where did all the red electronics go?
Remember when your mom said watching TV that close would ruin your eyes? Well someone made a product to automatically shut the TV off if you sat too close to the TV!
I feel like these speakers were modified by the previous owner.. just a feeling…

Scored a whole bag of these glow in the dark plastic stars for a buck and a half at the Restore thrift shop. I have a black light in the sunroom, thinking of a ceiling of stars. Any other ideas?

I watch a local auction house occasionally, not buying much – I maybe find a thing to bid on every couple of years. I'm wary of accumulating junk, especially as auctions are online now rather than in person.
Last night I managed to have the winning bid on an attractive framed AJ Casson print that would look nice on our wall.
Excited to see it. Fingers crossed that it's in good shape as photos suggest. We're big fans of #GroupOfSeven artists.

The other day when I posted about my tedious method for removing fragrance from thrift shop clothes, I got a reply from a costumer who says that spraying rubbing alcohol or vodka on clothing will break down the oils that make the perfume stick.
Bonus: it kills the bacteria that makes sour laundry smell bad.
