It’s blue curl season. They reseed and grow into small shrubs over the summer that begin to flower just ahead of golden rods and when the beautyberry is beginning to wane. Each flower is less than an inch long.
This is another one of those plants (like tropical salvia) that is said to be native but that I never seen in nature. We went on a hike last weekend and we saw all kinds of wild flowering peas and grasses—we even saw beautyberry—but no blue curl. #Florida #NativePlants

They only took me up on ~70 plants but they are all collected in one place, ready for pickup 🫡 had to raid my downy skullcap volunteers, but that's ok. There will be more.
