I think the #CrossQuarterDay was a few days ago- mid-point between Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox. The Latvian Metenis /Meteņi often called the 'Waiting for Spring' is today Feb 06. At Winter #Solstice, we celebrate the beginning of the return of #Saule / #Sun but should take some time to reflect on and appreciate the darkness of this season of long nights. #Darkness is often considered synonymous with negativity,/evil, but it shouldn't be so- darkness = #rest, the spark of #Life, #gestation happens in darkness, #blood and #sap flow in darkness.
