hey…
could someone please help me out? despite being gifted, and trying my best to be kind to everyone, i've been badly abused, backstabbed, and traumatised multiple times by selfish or shallow people in my society.

i DO have a college degree in engineering, and i was originally interested in going to grad school to help make the world a better place, but… that dream seems far out of reach now.

i've been unemployed for quite some time now, and i was too shy to network during my time in college during and after the COVID pandemic years…

has anyone gone through a similar experience? ANY support would be much appreciated!

Certified Telescope Mechanics (Trust Us)

Diego and I drove into regional Victoria to fix a telescope dome because apparently that’s our life now.

We adjusted the focuser (it was vibing wrong), tried to mount a Celestron C14 on a pier (it said “no”), and realized we need an adapter the size of my ego.

It was dusty. It was weirdly emotional. One of us almost cried (me).

This is what happens when you give two guys tools, a telescope, and zero adult supervision. 🔧🔭🚙

I visited Perth Observatory during the day (because apparently stars aren’t required for an existential crisis) — and ended up getting a personal tour from Paul Wadham, the actual Operations Manager. Legend.

He showed me antique telescopes, answered my weird space questions with alarming patience, and introduced me to an atomic clock that I may or may not now be emotionally dependent on.

No stars. Just me, Paul, and the unstoppable march of time. ⏱️🔭🌞
