A study of cognitive abilities of over 11,000 children and young adults, measured at ages 7, 12, 16, and 21, found that only 16% of the high-scorers at age 7 were in that same group at age 16. Cognitive scores tended to decrease over time. Changes were associated more with genetics than with environmental factors.

could someone please help me out? despite being gifted, and trying my best to be kind to everyone, i've been badly abused, backstabbed, and traumatised multiple times by selfish or shallow people in my society.i DO have a college degree in engineering, and i was originally interested in going to grad school to help make the world a better place, but… that dream seems far out of reach now.
i've been unemployed for quite some time now, and i was too shy to network during my time in college during and after the COVID pandemic years…
has anyone gone through a similar experience? ANY support would be much appreciated!

#gifted by #probitasrum, we don't normally review rums. But we have a habit of making cocktails with them when we aren't enjoying a pint or dram.
Taking exception to our usual reviews of bourbons, whisk(e)y, beer, and cider, we figured what better time to review a rum than during #rummonth.
A collaboration between two respected rum distillers, one from Barbados and the other from Jamaica, this blend had us pondering a Rye Tai (which includes a 100+ proof rye whiskey) or, in place of our usual overproof rum addition.
Final thoughts? Here's the breakdown that we came up with, "Swirling and sniffing, we recover notes of glue, punchy phenolic, brown butter, and that expectant funk including overripe bananas.
Sipping, we recover notes of caramel, vanilla bean, pineapple, citrus zest, and some overripe banana
Finishing, blackstrap molasses, baking spices and some toasted oak remain."
