Jews were legally considered a separate race in the US through WW2. The 1987 S.C. decision in Shaare Tefila Congregation v. Cobb is based on it.
All of my people's migration documents list their race as Hebrew. This isn't moving forward. I'm not saying it's good or bad. It's just not new.

America hates Jewish, Muslim, and black Americans. Fact.
"#FBI data released this week showed that #Jews were targeted in 1,528 hate crimes in the #US in 2025, far more than any other religious group.
The figure amounted to 63% of the 2,408 religion-based #hatecrimes in the US last year.
Overall hate crimes, and those targeting Jews, decreased last year compared to 2024, although Jews remain disproportionately targeted.
The next most-targeted religious group was #Muslims, who were the victims of 205 hate crime incidents, meaning Jews were attacked seven times more often.
Overall, #Blackpeople were targeted the most, with 2,811 hate crimes against them, the data showed. The US Black population is around six times larger than the Jewish population.
Jews were targeted in 14% of all hate crimes in the US last year, despite making up around two percent of the population."

"On Tuesday, the city released its #crime statistics from Jan. 1 until July 31 of this year, and the picture became considerably more dire—more than 115% worse—for #Seattle #Jews.
Of the 66 #hatecrimes that Seattle recorded in the first seven months of this year, 13 (19.7%) have targeted Jews.
Jews make up about 1% of those who live in the Seattle metro area, according to the Pew Research Center’s 2023-24 Religious Landscape Study.
From January to end of July, 7.2% of all of the 511 hate crimes, crimes with what Seattle calls “#biaselements” and non-crimes that involve #bias which the city has recorded targeted Jews, according to official city data.
Of the 259 crimes with “bias elements,” which the city uses to refer to crimes in which the bias is a secondary motivation, in Seattle so far this year, 11 (4.2%) targeted Jews, and 13 (7%) of the 186 bias incidents have targeted Jews, Seattle data suggests."

"#Jews, who make up about 10% of #NewYorkers, were the targets of nearly 70% of all #hatecrimes in the #BigApple last month, according to newly released city data, and anti-#Jewish hate crimes, which the city said it confirmed, were up 53.3% compared to the same period last year.
The #NewYorkCity Police Department said that it recorded 33 “confirmed” hate crimes in the city last month, of which 23 targeted Jews (69.6%). In July 2025, there were 15 anti-Jewish hate crimes in the city, it said.
#Muslims were targets of five “confirmed” hate crimes last month in New York City, or 15% of all hate crimes, which was up from two such incidents last year in July.
After recording a 182% increase in anti-Jewish hate crimes in the Big Apple in January, in Zohran Mamdani’s first month as mayor, the city began publishing only “confirmed” hate crimes and not “reported” ones in February."

Suspect in deadly #Berlin #Pride attack that left 1 person dead & 29 injured was shot & killed by police during a confrontation on Sunday in a suburb of the city, authorities said.
Abdul Ballout, a German citizen with Lebanese roots, was killed following a search that lasted nearly 24 hours after the attack in downtown Berlin. Berlin prosecutors said the suspect had previously sought to join the militant Islamic State group.

Authorities said he is believed to have injured several people after he drove a van into a crowd at a park near the #Pride festival’s closing party. He then allegedly attacked other people with a weapon, suspected to be a machete.
“Everything we see here points to us dealing with an #Islamic #terror attack,” Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt said.
Dobrindt put the total number of injured at 29.

The suspect in Saturday night’s attack remains at large. Authorities issued a wanted notice & warned people against approaching #AbdulBallout, a German citizen with Lebanese roots, saying that he may be armed & dangerous.

A car drove into a crowd during #Berlin’s famed #LGBTQ+ parade Saturday & injured several people, prompting police to call off the event in #Germany’s capital only hours after it had begun.
Police, who did not say how many were injured, called on everyone in a post on social media to leave the premises of the event immediately. A short while later, police said a car had driven into the #TiergartenPark, near the route of the #pride march, hitting several people.

"The #NewYorkCity Police Department (NYPD) confirmed on Thursday that #Jews were targeted by more #hatecrimes than any other #racial, #ethnic, or #religious group during the first six months of 2026, deepening concerns among #Jewish leaders that #antisemitism has intensified during the opening months of Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s administration.
The department recorded 178 anti-Jewish hate crimes from January to June, even as hate crimes against Asian, Black, and white #NewYorkers — groups whose populations together outnumber the city’s Jews by nearly six to one — registered double-digit decreases and offenses related to #ethnicity fell 50 percent. Anti-#Muslim offenses also rose, from 14 during the same period in 2025 to 21 this year.
The figures appeared in the NYPD’s biannual #crime report."
