  2. In 2018, my Dad passed away, and I went to India. As I was kneeling by his dead body, grieving, my brother thrust a bunch of blank sheets of paper in front of my face, and said, "Sign these. They are for the division of property, and I need your power of attorney. It's just a formality." I was not thinking clearly at this point, and trusted him enough to sign the blank papers.

In 2022, I was visiting India again, and my brother and my mother told me that I was not getting anything out of my Dad's inheritance, and that I had signed it all over to them. This came as a shock!

I returned to America, and saw an American psychiatrist. She told me that I seemed fine, and tapered down my pills to zero, over some time, under her periodic supervision.

Immediately, my thinking cleared up. A mental fog lifted. Suddenly, I was thinking as lucidly and effortlessly, as I am used to, as I did in 2008, 14 years ago.

Since then, I fell out with my mother and brother. When I fell on hard times as a whistleblower, they would not help me. My brother was drinking expensive whiskey over a video call, as he refused to lend me even $30. He said he had a party to go to.

Later, when I had been homeless and starving for days, he agreed to give me $1000 , after demanding that I email him, saying I would drop the matter of Dad's inheritance.

I want to warn people against Dr. R. N. Sahu and his psychiatric malpractice.

  4. Medical contradiction. In the same conversation about a transplant the surgeon stated that the heavier you are the less healthy you are and wont survive sugery, then said that heavier people make better donors than thin people due to the quality of their organs.

All this says to me is that surgeons are not competent to work on fat patients and want them to die to give their organs to the chosen thin people, who are not healthy

Dr. Thomas Shaknovsky faces manslaughter charges in Florida after allegedly removing a patient's liver instead of their spleen, leading to death. His license is suspended.

Pakistan: hospitals putting children at risk of HIV
    Crossing Continents

Outbreaks of HIV have become regular occurrences in Pakistan. And too frequently it is the children who suffer. In the city of Taunsa, for example, children have tested positive for HIV while their parents have not. So what’s been going on? In Crossing Continents Ghazal Abbasi investigates what and who is to blame. With the help of a staff insider and undercover recording in the city’s main hospital, the BBC finds shocking lapses in medical protocol. Medicine vials and syringes are often re-used for different children. Cross-contamination seems inevitable. But the local authorities deny the hospital is at the centre of the problem.

  9. Hello!!! I'm sorry i'm not more active here, but I'm posting this in the hopes that it could reach anyone who could help with funds.

You can see the previous posts on my page for more context, but right now, this artist's sister is being refused life-saving medical care at Sutter Roseville Medical Center in Northern California after being discharged from there unsafely (and against her and her sibling, who is the Power of Attorney, wishes.)

Most recent thread with more context here --> x.com/getrichlifeline/status/2

Their GFM with a Google Doc that explains the situation more --> gofund.me/e69179d05

I'm sharing this in the vain hope that someone can help get them funds to navigate this situation if nothing else.

Other people have been passing resources their way on how to get their sister into another hospital. Please share.

It’s jaw-dropping to me that I’m still trying to expose this practice more than 20 years after I first wrote about it."

  22. This-- oddly enough-- is the same type of circumstance that I've been referencing in my Mastodon Profile as "an episode" in 2013.

    Dear Civil Rights Division,

I am writing to report ongoing discrimination in my medical treatment due to assumptions about my past medical history. These assumptions have led to my repeated exclusion from effective treatments, directly impacting my health, quality of life, and professional future.

Despite my attempts to discuss these issues openly with healthcare providers, my concerns were dismissed, leaving me with little recourse and a diminished quality of life. When I sought legal advice, I was informed that such risks are "known" side effects, yet my right to consider alternatives was disregarded, based on unjust bias.

I am requesting guidance on how to formally report this pattern of discrimination and to pursue just compensation for the health damages I’ve suffered due to these circumstances.

Thank you for your consideration. I am hopeful that your department can help me find a path to ensure this experience is acknowledged, rectified, and prevented for others in similar situations.

    Sincerely,
    #Civilrights #CivilProtection #medicalmalpractice

  26. CW: FODMAP, food, medical

It was my intention to post regularly what I'm eating while staying low #FODMAP but I only really eat three things: omelette with vegetables and Colby Jack (paprika and tumeric), oatmeal with almond butter and cranberries (cinnamon and nutmeg), and CF Brownie Crunch cereal with oatmilk. Plus either green tea or tumeric ginger tea depending on how I'm feeling. Also a handful of vitamins and small salads now that I'm out of acute crisis.

My gastroenterologist, who is a dismissive and disinterested ahole generally, says that he recommends --against-- low FODMAP for #IBS , #IBD , #postinfectousIBS , ect. because it's "too restrictive," but what was really restrictive was never leaving my house, barely parenting my children, and being absent to my friends and community because I was in constant excruciating and unpredictable pain.

If I lived in a major metro area, this is the phase where I would see a nutritionist to reintroduce things so that my diet could become less restrictive but still provide management benefits, but I don't.

Instead I get stuck here, letting my body heal in strict mode, because I enjoy being able to just function for a while and I'll do anything it takes to maintain that.

This isn't the whole story ( #endometriosis , hospital-acquired #CDiff , #medicalmalpractice , #medicalgaslighting ) but I feel like I need to share because there are other people like me who have to figure this out on their own.
