Niels Abel was born 224 years ago, on August 5, 1802. At just 21, he proved that no general algebraic formula can solve equations of degree 5, a problem that had challenged mathematicians for roughly 250 years.
Short on money, Abel paid the printer himself and condensed his proof into just six pages to keep costs down. He sent a copy to Gauss, but never received a response.
Abel died of tuberculosis at just 26. Two days later, a letter arrived announcing that he had been appointed professor in Berlin.
A breakthrough recognized too late.

I made a little extension to my Python-based LaTeX math renderer so it can be used to draw equations and Sympy expressions directly in the terminal as sixel graphics. Install with `pip install sixelmath` and give it a try! (in a sixel-supported terminal, of course).

Ich bin dabei für meine Kids die Aufschriebe der 9. Klasse für die Prüfungen in der 10. etwas schöner darzustellen, zum besseren Lernen.
Aktuell sind wir bei Grundlagen der Elektrotechnik und das Problem, wie so oft, ist das Darstellen in Aufschrieben und Notizen von Formeln.
Klar gibt es Formeleditoren, aber die sind alle etwas umständlich zu handhaben, also lasse ich sie mir einfach von ChatGPT darstellen und füge sie in das Dokument ein.
