CIBC National Trust of Chicago, a US division of the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) have notified their Private Wealth Management customers that their data have been stolen when their third party service provider, Pension Benefit Information (PBI) was hit by a cyberattack in May.
The PBI breach was one of the many organization that fell victim to the much wider MOVEIt breaches by the Cl0p ransomware gang.
There's no word on how many clients were affected & how much information was stolen as the letter seen by IT World Canada was heavily redacted.

The data of about 26,000 patients at one of Canada's largest hospital networks may have been copied by malicious actor in June of this year.
Earlier this month, #Toronto's University Health Network sent out notices to an unknown number of people that a database that tracks the electronic referrals to Toronto Western Hospital's orthopedic clinic was left exposed.
The database included the names, addresses, phone numbers, dates of birth, sex, medical assessments and patients’ provincial health insurance numbers.

Und noch eine Sache, die für mich relevant ist: #LLVM unterstützt nur Prozessoren, deren Wortbreite eine Zweierpotenz ist. Ich schreibe gerne Programme für den #eZ80, der mit 24-bit-Wörtern einfach von modernen Sprachen nicht unterstützt wird.
Vielleicht kann man hier ja dafür werben.
