In the end, I think the AirPods Pro 3 did save my ears from some damage (only a slight ringing the next day). I can’t imagine how bad it would have been without them. And, to be clear, obviously ear plugs would have been better (or industrial hearing protection!), but what I had in my pocket was the AirPods, so I used those and hoped for the best. My verdict is the loud sound protection actually works, in one of the most extreme use cases possible.

AirPods Pro 3 are f0cking amazing. I’ve been at clubs and completely cancelled out their horrible music and played my own. But Khao San Road in Bangkok is too much even for these. I hope they are at least protecting my hearing, but I kinda doubt it. Apple, send you engineers here for AirPods Pro 4. This is the real test. I’d offer to do it for you, but f0ck, I really hate this place. 👍

Des tests rapides à la pause déjeuner et je confirme que la qualité audio est très nettement supérieure en AAC. L’ANC n’est pas au niveau d’Apple mais reste correct. Pour les fans de musique, le pas est à franchir les yeux fermés. La semaine prochaine je recevrai le QCC Dongle Pro de chez Questyle pour avoir du LDAC en sortie de l’iPhone. Je vous tiendrai au courant
