#404 media ha dimostrato che la pratica di acquisire libri rari e distruggerli è reale e non una leggenda: è bastato inserire un #airtag in un libro per tracciarlo.
La cosa è stata definita "incarnazione del male". Chiunque sappia cosa sia davvero un libro non può che essere d'accordo.

For the past year or so, booksellers have suspected that AI firms are buying up huge lots of rare books, then destroying them after scanning them to train AI. But this was hard to prove until now, as 404 Media reports that an Airtag hidden in a rare book shows that at least one tech giant, in the race to advance its frontier models, is behind some of the bulk orders: Amazon.
On Monday, 404 Media revealed that it had connected with a #bookseller who agreed to plant an Airtag in a rare book that was part of a bulk order. That Airtag was then tracked to an Amazon AI #training facility in #LasVegas that housed a team focused on tearing books from their spines and scanning pages, 404 Media reported. Apparently tone-deaf to the escalating backlash over destructive book scanning, a logo on the door of that team’s warehouse, #VGT3 , showed a Tyrannosaurus rex preparing to devour a book,

At SeaTac last night, one of our 3 checked bags was not on the carousel. We knew it made the first flight because we claimed it at US customs in Miami.
Delta confirmed the bag made the flight but they could not find it at SeaTac. Then my wife reminded me that the bag had an Apple AirTag. I gave the location info to the Delta baggage employee, who was able to find it behind security.
Bottom line: put an Apple AirTag in every bag when you travel.

Ok... So I used to use Chipolo because they had bluetooth device finders that were no in the find my iphone or android device hub. I know this means I am less likely to find a stolen thing. But they allowed me to find my keys when the kid ran off with them or the fire tv remote when it was shoved in the couch.
Anyone know of a non-"find my" Bluetooth tracker/locator.
Preferably with some sort of sharing so my wife can ping them with her phone too!

It'd be cool if I could get #FindMy/#AirTag locations integrated into #HomeAssistant, but alas.
