Bloomberg ujawnia szczegółowy plan Apple dotyczący całej linii komputerów Mac na najbliższe dwa lata — 11 nowych modeli, w tym MacBook Ultra z ekranem dotykowym, MacBook Neo 2, nowy iMac jeszcze w tym roku oraz OLED w przyszłości dla MacBooka Air i iMaca.
Mark Gurman opublikował na łamach Bloomberga jeden z najbardziej szczegółowych raportów o przyszłości linii Mac, jakie widzieliśmy od dawna. Łącznie mowa o 11 nowych modelach komputerów Apple planowanych na najbliższe dwa lata, jak informuje 9to5Mac. Zbieramy wszystko w jednym miejscu.
Jeszcze w tym roku
iMac, wejściowy MacBook Pro z M6 i MacBook Ultra
Zacznijmy od tego, co najbliżej. Do końca 2026 roku Apple planuje wydać trzy nowości. Pierwsza to podstawowy MacBook Pro z procesorem Apple M6 — o którym pisaliśmy przy okazji wcześniejszej roadmapy chipów.

Druga to nowy iMac — Apple zakończyło już jego rozwój, choć raport nie precyzuje, czy trafi do niego obecny procesor Apple M5, czy nowy M6. Jak zauważa MacRumors, nie zapowiedziano żadnych większych zmian w designie — iMac najpewniej pozostanie przy 24-calowym ekranie LCD w dwóch konfiguracjach. To będzie pierwsze odświeżenie iMaca od dwóch lat, bo model z M4 z października 2024 roku nie doczekał się aktualizacji do M5. Warto dodać przykry kontekst: po czerwcowej fali podwyżek iMac w Polsce kosztuje dziś minimum 7499 zł.
Trzecia i najbardziej ekscytująca nowość to zupełnie nowa, wysokiej klasy linia MacBooków 14 i 16 cali z ekranem dotykowym OLED, napędzana procesorami Apple M5 Pro i M5 Max — czyli MacBook Ultra, o którym pisaliśmy wcześniej. Bloomberg potwierdza, że urządzenie jest na dobrej drodze do premiery między końcem tego roku a początkiem przyszłego — Apple testuje je już z macOS 27.1, spodziewanym pod koniec października.
Początek 2027
Nowy MacBook Air, przeprojektowany MacBook Pro i MacBook Neo 2
Wczesną wiosną 2027 roku ma pojawić się zaktualizowana linia MacBooka Air, a także przeprojektowany, wejściowy MacBook Pro z procesorem Apple M7 — o czym pisaliśmy przy okazji wcześniejszych doniesień o przeskoku Apple z M6 Pro/Max od razu do M7.

Do tego dojdzie druga generacja MacBooka Neo, z procesorem Apple A19 Pro — ten sam, który napędza dziś flagowe modele iPhone’a 17 Pro i iPhone’a Air. Jak dokładnie opisuje 9to5Mac, A19 Pro jest o 10–15% szybszy od obecnego A18 Pro w testach CPU, a skok wydajności GPU sięga nawet 40% dzięki wbudowanym w każdy rdzeń akceleratorom neuronowym. Apple ma zastosować w MacBooku Neo tzw. binowaną wersję chipu — z pięciordzeniowym GPU zamiast sześciordzeniowego, znanego z iPhone’a 17 Pro — dokładnie tak, jak zrobiono to przy pierwszej generacji z A18 Pro.
Druga, równie istotna zmiana to pamięć RAM. Obecny MacBook Neo ma zaledwie 8 GB, podczas gdy reszta linii Mac zaczyna dziś od 16 GB. MacBook Neo 2 nie skoczy od razu do tego poziomu, ale otrzyma 12 GB RAM — wystarczająco, żeby odblokować obsługę potężniejszego, lokalnego modelu Apple Intelligence zapowiedzianego na WWDC, dającego m.in. dokładniejsze dyktowanie i personalizację głosu Siri AI. Obecny MacBook Neo, z 8 GB RAM i A18 Pro, tej funkcji nie obsługuje. Apple planuje też okresowo odświeżać paletę kolorystyczną MacBooka Neo — bez konkretów co do nowych barw. Premiera MacBooka Neo 2 spodziewana jest gdzieś w 2027 roku.
Bloomberg ujawnia roadmapę chipów Apple: M6 jesienią, M7 Pro i Max w 2027, bez M6 Pro i Max
Mac mini i Mac Studio czekają na pamięć
Apple testuje też nowe konfiguracje Maca mini z niedopasowanymi procesorami Apple M6 i M5 Pro — analogicznie do tego, jak w zeszłym roku Mac Studio zaoferowano z niedopasowanymi procesorami Apple M4 Max i M3 Ultra, jak przypomina MacRumors. Gurman nie podał żadnych ram czasowych dla premiery.
Równolegle w testach znajdują się nowe modele Maca Studio z procesorami M5 Max i M5 Ultra — o tym ostatnim pisaliśmy już wcześniej. Bloomberg zaznacza jednak wyraźnie, że zarówno moment premiery, jak i planowane konfiguracje chipów i pamięci, zależą od stanu podaży pamięci na rynku — a jak wiemy z naszych wcześniejszych tekstów o globalnym kryzysie pamięciowym, ta sytuacja pozostaje daleka od stabilizacji.
OLED dla MacBooka Air i iMaca — ale nie wcześniej niż 2028
Patrząc dalej w przyszłość, Bloomberg donosi, że Apple pracuje nad MacBookiem Air z ekranem OLED, którego premiera możliwa jest najwcześniej w 2028 roku. W ślad za nim ma pójść iMac z OLED — kolejny krok w kierunku pełnego przejścia całej linii Mac na tę technologię wyświetlaczy, którą pisaliśmy już wcześniej przy okazji iPada mini.
Podsumowując cały ten obszerny plan: koniec 2026 roku przynosi nowy iMac, wejściowy MacBook Pro z M6 i przełomowy MacBook Ultra z dotykowym OLED. Początek 2027 roku to nowy MacBook Air, przeprojektowany MacBook Pro z M7 i MacBook Neo 2. Gdzieś pomiędzy, zależnie od sytuacji z pamięcią, pojawią się nowe Maki mini i Mac Studio. A na horyzoncie 2028 roku czeka OLED w MacBooku Air i iMacu. Rzadko kiedy Apple ujawnia — nawet nieoficjalnie — tak kompletny obraz swojej strategii sprzętowej na tak długi okres.

Anybody else’s M5 ( or even M4 ) MacBook Air gently roast their legs while using Xcode or am I just lucky? Considering a MacBook Pro next time around or at least an Apple Store Genius Bar visit.
I mean this is why I was glad to ditch the Intel Mac which would get VERY hot.

If I had a blog, this would be a blog post. I don't, so you lot are blessed with it... it's a bit long.
I've been diving down some deep rabbit holes recently, making some tough choices about my tech stack.
It's kind of a macOS vs Linux post but just about considering practicalities rather than ideology.
Since 2020 my main computer has been an M1 #MacBookAir with a nice big 4K LG monitor, an OWC Thunderbolt 3 dock with umpteen ports, and a Sound Blaster Katana soundbar. I also have an elderly Linux Thinkpad that I bought second-hand for controlling the #ModelRailway but I'll come back to that.
As a privacy advocate I would love my main working environment to be Linux, and I absolutely hate macOS #Tahoe (I downgraded back to Sequoia after trying it for a week), so I've been watching the #AsahiLinux project closely. Sadly the lack of progress on #Thunderbolt ("work in progress" for 2 years!) means #Asahi is still not an option, because I can't work without the big screen or the dock.
But recently I realised my Thinkpad has Thunderbolt support, and although it's old it's fast enough for software development (it's an X1 Carbon with a 6th gen i5 CPU).
So... (lightbulb moment) why don't I just swap the 2 machines - use the Thinkpad as my main dev machine, and the #MacBook as my model railway controller? Quite an exciting thought. I then spent ages plotting out how this might work, checking which apps I could still use, etc etc.
Unfortunately I came up against 3 barriers:
1. My particular Thunderbolt dock model does not have a Linux driver.
2. Creative do not offer a Linux app to control their Sound Blaster Katana models, and without an app most of the functionality is unavailable.
3. My model railway layout planning app (RailModeller Pro) is a Mac-only app, and using it on a small screen (because the Linux laptop would be using the big screen) would be impractical. The only Linux app that does the same job (XtrkCad) is a monster with a near-vertiginous learning curve and terrible UI. There are Windows apps but I refuse to go down the Wine route.
Whichever way my thoughts take me, I can't get past these three issues. I simply don't have the budget to replace the soundbar, and although the Thinkpad has more ports than the Air, I'd still be juggling cables to a frustrating degree. And yes I could unplug the big screen and put it into the Mac when using RailModeller Pro, but when I consider all these issues together, it's just too much friction to consider swapping the two machines' roles. I'm too old to deliberately make my life harder.
So now, after months of thinking Asahi Linux was going to transform my life, I'm coming to terms with the fact that I should just keep things as they are, and in particular accept these two compromises:
1. Live with Apple-level surveillance on the basis that it's still way better than Microsoft-level surveillance.
2. Stay with macOS Sequoia for as long as possible, and hopefully by the time Apple forces me to upgrade to a new OS version, they will have moved on from the appalling liquid glass UI in Tahoe.
So that's it. I don't like compromising; I never have. The #autistic side of me always wants to take a purist, absolutist approach (privacy at all costs!), but in the end I have to be realistic. Not to mention the #ADHD side of me getting way too excited about CHANGING SOMETHING! YAY! DOPAMINE! But now that I've lived with my #AuDHD diagnosis for a while I'm getting better at accepting necessary compromises.
