Repair run już się zakończył i po kilku dodatkowych poprawkach udało się domknąć benchmark.
Po drodze wyszło jeszcze kilka problemów technicznych, więc część testów trzeba było poprawić i uzupełnić. Ostatecznie mamy jednak kompletny zestaw wyników dla wszystkich 5 modeli.
Najlepiej wypadły dwa modele.
Qwen3.8-27B wygrał cały benchmark i osiągnął najwyższy wynik jakościowy.
GPT-OSS-20B był bardzo blisko, a w testach kodowania uzyskał taki sam wynik jak Qwen. Jednocześnie na moim MacBooku Air M4 16 GB działa około 5 razy szybciej.
Dlatego teraz testuję właśnie GPT-OSS jako lokalnego agenta do prawdziwego kodowania.

Może sam przeglądać repozytorium, edytować pliki, uruchamiać testy, analizować błędy i poprawiać własne rozwiązania.
Każde zadanie zaczyna od czystej kopii repozytorium. Po zakończeniu rozwiązanie jest sprawdzane także dodatkowymi testami, których model wcześniej nie widział. Jeśli coś nie przejdzie, dostaje informację o błędzie i może spróbować się poprawić.
Maksymalnie trzy podejścia na zadanie.
Całość działa lokalnie na Macu.
Teraz chcę sprawdzić nie tylko, czy model potrafi wygenerować poprawny kod, ale czy rzeczywiście może wykonywać część pracy lokalnego agenta programistycznego i odciążyć modele działające w chmurze.
Test właśnie trwa.

Wygląda na to, że Apple przygotowuje się do wprowadzenia kolejnej generacji swoich komputerów. Jak donosi Mark Gurman z agencji Bloomberg w swoim najnowszym newsletterze „Power On”, firma z Cupertino zbliża się do etapu masowej produkcji kluczowych urządzeń wyposażonych w nadchodzący czip M5. Premiery możemy spodziewać się na przełomie roku.
Według informacji Gurmana, linia montażowa wkrótce ruszy pełną parą dla nowych modeli MacBooka Pro (o nazwach kodowych J714 i J716) oraz MacBooka Air (J813 i J815), które będą napędzane przez procesor Apple M5. Co więcej, na zaawansowanym etapie przygotowań znajdują się także dwa nowe monitory dla komputerów Mac (J427 i J527). @gsymon I went with a 15" Macbook Air, maxed out on memory 24G. I find for software development memory is key. I know people look down their noses at Airs for sw dev, but honestly this thing rocks.

I’ve always had a preference for smaller laptops. Around 2005, I had a 12” PowerBook.
I loved it compared to the 15” model, even though it was thick as a brick. Upgrading to the 15” MacBook Air isn’t “ultra-portable” like the 13” but I’m enjoying the battery life, screen real estate and the performance of the M2 chip.

Some of the hyperbole made by tech reviewers about modern laptops is just ridiculous.
You think the 15” MacBook Air is “heavy” at 2.7 pounds?
Listen up, junior: my 15” PowerBook G4 weighed 5.6 pounds and my PowerBook 5300 before that weighed 6.2 pounds.
Sure, the determination of “heavy” is relative, but even the current 16” MacBook Pro is only 4.8 pounds.
You would never have survived 90’s laptops. 😉

The Verge’s review of the 15” MacBook Air gives me confidence about upgrading, though it sounds like the battery life is about the same as the 13” in every day use. (Which is already incredible.) Bigger screen = greater power consumption.

Or only $80 more than the 13 now, after the $100 price drop.
At first glance the 15 starts $200 higher than the new 13 price ($100 more than the old)…
But all 15” models include two options ($120 total) that the base 13” does not: your choice of +$20 upgraded power brick (dual-outlet or fast charging), and +$100 for 25% more GPU cores.
And it comes in 4 different grays 😑
