💡 Tip: Signal heeft onlangs ook het vergrendelen van video-opnames door te swipen geïntroduceerd voor Android (versie 8.25). Houd de opnameknop ingedrukt en veeg naar links om de opname te vergrendelen. Daarna kun je de opname op elk gewenst moment pauzeren en hervatten.
Signal voor iOS had deze functie al, waarbij je naar rechts veegt om de opname te vergrendelen.

💡 Tip: Signal also recently introduced swipe to lock video recording for Android (version 8.25). Hold the record button and swipe left to lock the recording, and pause or resume it whenever you like.
Signal for iOS already had this feature, with a swipe to the right to lock the recording.

Alleine das Auffinden einer Datei, die irgendwo gespeichert wurde ist eine Tagesaufgabe.Dabei hätte es einfach sein können. Ich werfe die Datei auf meine #seafile #cloud, lade sie aufs #smartphone, öffne sie mit der gewünschten #app. Typischer Fall von #Denkste.
Ich bin mir sicher, dass ich es beim nächsten Mal wieder nicht auf Anhieb hinkriege.
Das bestätigt meine Meinung, dass Geräte mit Android (und auch mit #ios) nicht wirklich zum produktiven Arbeiten gemacht sind.
Ich nenne sie schon länger„Sofa-Surfgeräte“.

Da schwafeln die was von Datenschutz User und ich sehe eben in einer Gruppe beim Namen eines für jeden in der Gruppe sichtbaren Profils die folgende Info unten abgebildete Info unter dem Icon.Wie ist das in Europa legal?
Das erfüllt meiner Meinung nach in Deutschland Straftatbestände wie Falsche Verdächtigung und Verleumdung oder üble Nachrede.Oder wie seht ihr das?

For some reason Signal app still runs its background process even when android is offline.
There's an option to disable that battery-sucking behaviour, but it's currently a placebo option: it keeps on re-enabling itself every time android goes back online, thus training me to keep that phone offline even longer.

@truls46 I have been using #WhisperFish over 6 months now! I have been loving it :) I have registered it as a secondary device as you can't back up messages really. I have androis signal client on my #JollaPhone as a primary signal client, whicb backups everything. I have disabled all other notifications from android #Signal client but audio and video calls as WhisperFish doesn't currently support those. This way I can have audio and vide calls also

It is fairly simple to moderate a simplex space or decentralised spaces in general its just you have to think about it differently
The internet at large isn't moderated the way we would like social spaces to be moderated but that doesn't mean that the internet at large is inherently unsafe to use
How did you arrive at mastodon over twitter or bluesky it wasn't because there was some overarching internet moderation that told you this is where you are allowed to be
To moderate a decentralised space you just moderate your corner of it. As soon as you create an apparatus to moderate the whole ecosystem then you have created a fascist tool that will disproportionately be leverageable by people with more compute and infrastructure ie the wealthy
This is exemplified by the fact that signal servers use AWS infra, and amazon is a trump loyalist company who can at an instants notice cut access to signal for everyone as soon as it becomes too inconvenient - internet blackouts are a thing during revolutions so signal blackout isnt beyond the pail and somewhat related but Apple removed the ICE sighting app when it became inconvenient to US government
If the practical limitation of this style of moderation is that you can only afford to moderate semi closed invite only groups then that is still valuable: this is how most activist signal groups work anyway - but even within decentralised systems like matrix or simplex you can still delegate moderation rights with chat permission hierarchies to make moderating larger groups feasible.
