Brandishing rosaries, defiant young Republicans of New York City fête far-right white nationalist German leaders and announce that "remigration is the only path forward for Western countries.”
That is, they espouse forcing the expulsion of citizens and immigrants of targeted ethnic communities and racial categories.
But I look at the photo here and ask, These young folks don't have immigrant forebears?

Vielleicht ist es in Deutschland schon wohl bekannt, aber wenn nicht: die Young Republicans haben vor ein paar Monaten einen etwas grossen (heute ist alles relativ) Skandal erregt, als ein Protokoll einer Telegram-Chatgroup geleakt wurde, in dem verschiedene ihrer Führungskräfte locker über Vergewaltigung und rassistischen Stereotypen sowie Hitler und krassen Antisemitismus gescherzt haben.
In der Zeit seitdem dieser Beitrag veröffentlicht wurde, wurden verschiedene Mitglieder schon diszipliniert: einige wurden aus dem Verein hinausgeworfen, einer von ihnen hat seine Stelle als Hilfskraft in den Amt eines Bundesstaatsabgeordneten verloren. Ja gut, aber es ist kaum zu glauben, dass so ein frischer -- und offenbar tiefer -- Problem so schnell gelöst wurde. Und zwar hat z.B. mindestens eine Ortsgruppe sich schon wieder geöffnet, die nur nach der Veröffentlichung dieses Beitrages Mitte Oktober geschlossen wurde.
Offenbar ändern diese Tatsachen eigentlich nichts. AfD-Mitgliedern fliegen trotzdem nach New York um Beziehungen genau mit diesen Menschen zu stärken, und das beunruhigt deutlich weder die MAGA-Unterstützer*innen in den USA noch die AfD-Unterstützer*innen in Deutschland. Aber man sollte wissen, mit wem seiner eventuellen "Repräsentanten" verkehrt. Also viel Spaß beim Lesen...
