Experts said the Executive Residence is exempt from those rules, & the president has legal authority to hire companies of his choosing to make changes to the executive mansion & the surrounding grounds. Those experts said soliciting bids would have ensured the best price for #taxpayers, especially given the size & cost of the #EastWing project.
