They've got the costs so low that purchase and installation of the Cosy 6 (after the government grant) has dropped to £3k (for an average house with an up-to-date hot water cylinder).
Edit: Now the UK government has upped the Boiler Replacement Program from £5k to £7.5k the above quote has dropped to just £500.

This choropleth shows which parts of the US use which fuel for home heating. The heavy use of propane and electricity in rural areas and the south means that those areas should, in theory, be technically easier to decarbonize than a lot of the coastal urban areas.

Frustrating day! Woke up to find out the boiler has given up due to an airlock! Spent whole day trying vent this and vent that, bleed this, bleed that, to no avail! In the end turned the flow temperature down to where the boiler will work long enough! Room temperatures have done from 12C to 13C! Can’t wait to rip out all the shite and get the whole system replaced!!! #HomeHeating #Winter #Snow
