The EU is prepared to grant Greek shipowner Dynagas a 12-month exemption from a planned ban on transporting Russian LNG to third countries, the Financial Times reports. The waiver, which could be extended, still requires approval from EU ambassadors. Greece blocked the bloc’s 21st sanctions package while seeking protection for Dynagas. Since 2025, 11 company vessels have carried more than 10 million tons of Russian LNG on 144 voyages.

The natural gas price for the EU is up sharply now the Trump-Netanyahu war escalates again. Close to €60/MWh now; that's +100% compared to the price before the war vs 'only' +50% for oil (Brent).
Not a good combination with sluggishly filling up our gas storages. I guess we'll notice in winter.
