    depends how hydrophilic it is. Some things, like sulfur trioxide, go after water vapor like a doberman on a pork chop (duh, those things are called "desiccants")

    In that both HF and H2O hydrogen bond like crazy, I bet you'd need a low RH to stop this.

    Now I'm wondering about water oligomers at say 70% RH. Water is a very sticky molecule, when you pull vacuum on a system pumping out the water is the first challenge.

  26. Interesting new study in @nature today - the observed #Methane spike in the atmosphere last year seems to relate to 2 elements:
    1) - increased emissions from wetlands in a warmer + wetter climate (yes that's a positive feedback)
    2) - reduction of NOx (Nitrogen pollution from cars + industry) due to #COVID19 lockdowns reduced the rate at which methane is removed from the atmosphere by chemistry.
