  1. @BruceMirken

    Yup. Emphasis on "we."

As Chuck Yeager advised, continue using available levers of control. "Keep flying the airplane."

Here and for many it may come down to "signaling is the only available lever." For the rest of us who are not disenfranchised by whatever nefarious means we shouldn't add to that injury by making up excuses not to bother.

So, #vote even if it may feel futile. Feelings -can- lie to us.

  2. Scanning this reminds me of when I think about what blue ocean fisherfolk go through to put a fish on my plate: "Leaving fish on the plate is profoundly disrespectful."

    Don't diss hard work.

  3. Canadians in 2060 may well curse Carney as they read these words from history.

"Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney said the pipeline would also create 140,000 jobs across the country and bring in about $100 billion in government revenue by 2060.

“Canada has a once-in-a-generation opportunity to become a global energy superpower,” Carney said in a news release Thursday. “To create hundreds of thousands of good jobs. To transform our economy. To diversify our trade. To become less reliant on a single trade partner.”
