  2. @timmc This is probably the point where you should consult someone who actually works in #analyticalChemistry and environmental sample analysis. Maybe XRF is not the best route here? If building a small lab and taking the samples to said lab would be an option, a whole list of other instruments and techniques are available. IDK how much an atomic absorption spectrometer goes for these days, maybe that's an option. 1/2

  12. Wow, I learn something new every day. They talk about matrix effects in #AnalyticalChemistry but blood analysis is no doubt full of stuff like this, where taking biotin interferes with... a lot of seemingly unrelated blood tests!

He has been kind enough to incorporate our BEADS algorithm (baseline estimation & denoising w/ #sparsity) to separate peaks, baseline and noise using sparsity priors! doi.org/10.1016/j.chemolab.201 #analyticalchemistry
