  16. Consumer Reports found that several brands of ground cinnamon contain #lead . It begs the question of: what about other ground spices? Many places around the world don't follow good food safety standards. They're not tested at the border when imported. A great project for someone with the equipment would be to test various spices from various places. Maybe other common contaminants too. It would be a great study. Let me know if you do -- happy to write about it.
    And, what about spices in #Canada? Many come from the same sources.
    ADDENDUM: Another thought. Maybe some of those long-term, large population studies could test for lead, etc. in some of the blood samples they collect. Could be a good indicator.
