  1. @IveyJanette

This is not limited to black people.

We have seen this with the perpetrators of 9/11.

When #US went after them, a whole class of people had the grievance that we went after muslims.

They are overlapping classes, but #terrorism is not tied to or limited to a specific religion or culture, as we know from the #Oklahoma bombing by #TimothyMcVeigh.

  2. @IveyJanette

The reason I felt compelled to comment earlier is because twice in 2 days I saw 2 posts on #BlackMastodon alleging #racism:

    1. Women's value gets lower the more children they have.

    2. A #rapist was prosecuted. Isn't it good that he was brought to justice?

The person in the post about #BillCosby suggested #Cosby was prosecuted because he was black, not because he raped women.

She used some big words like #intersectionalAnalysis, but nothing of substance

  3. CW: Covid, dating apps, "leftists"

Well, after a month of being on Feeld, I have been rejected by someone, who calls himself a "leftist" in his profile, for masking in public to protect myself and people I care about from #covid19.

It isn't that disheartening since I see it as the trash taking itself out, and also, I've been on several dates already with people who don't mask themselves but haven't expressed an issue with my doing so. What does frustrate me is the general lack of care for #DisabilityJustice and the ignorance of so many #leftists of #covid as an intersectional issue. Your so-called "revolution" means nothing if it does not protect people with disabilities.

  7. The triangle #intersection again from yesterdays #rural drive. Pics by @unearth except the last by me. #Clutha District, New Zealand #NewZealand

1st pic shows bee holes, there were lots of mini-bees like miniature honeybees! They were on the bare ground by the gravel road.

  8. Explore the intersection of music and mental health with Empathy For The Devil. This podcast journeys into the lives of iconic musicians, offering an empathetic lens into their stories and talents, revealing their humanity beyond societal judgments.

  9. reposting a 2025 banger: there is an easy and intuitive way to make traffic lights accessible to colorblind people, and I get a little sad whenever I see an intersection that doesn't do it.

  10. Fresh beigeizen introductory post! 🌱 I moved here from another server, and here I feel like I can be weird but in a benevolent way. Privileged to be here.

A confession to open with: I'm a bit lost lately. Not in a dramatic way. More like staring at foggy buildings disappearing into the heights, seeing the beauty but not feeling the associated eerie melancholy. My life path is on autopoiesis, but not quite clear. It's challenging in a satisfying way, yet my mind is filled with a kind of jaded static. Perhaps I'm at the age of needing to rediscover myself. Or it's just the world being a lot right now. Likely both.

I make my living by making educational journeys happen. I design them from idea to delivery, or support others to do something similar. My background is in #psychology, and all my educational content intersects this science with democratic values and history. All #education should playfully animate curiosity and empathy. It's my way of contributing to nudging the world in better directions. Without heavily investing into emancipating, inclusive educational systems, we are all lost.

When I'm not doing that, I'm playing games - board games, TTRPGs or video games. Numenera is still my favourite tabletop RPG (campaign incoming, wish us good times). I'm also exploring Pathfinder, and I'm an #NSR fan with a soft spot for narrative-driven adventures. When it comes to vydia, #Faeria is my competitive favourite (let's connect and play if you're the rare breed who plays it too), while lately it's #ULTRAKILL where I go to feel things.

Speaking of worlds being built, I'm currently crafting #Cosmoboros, an outlandish TTRPG emerging from a #psychedelic haze. Also some smaller experimental stuff, like a floppy disk solo journaling game.

Occasionally I'll post photos I've taken or strange little stories I've written. I like books and non-conventional comics, so expect some reviews too. I just try to share bits of what inspires me. I tried to trap my shitposting persona to a secret account, but sometimes I can't help myself (not that I'm good at the art).

Full disclosure: I like AI (not limited to LLMs), I think it's one of the most wonderful things we've ever forced into existence, though I do criticise many of the technology's real-world effects.

Human rights are for everyone, except perhaps those who actively work on taking these rights away. Call these people what you want, to me, they are the enemy. Other than that I don't care what you believe in, as long as you are willing to discuss our inevitably different interpretations of the universe with an open mind.

If I need to tell anyone that all my opinions are my own and don't represent that of any other party, then they should also know that everything I say or ever said is a bad joke.

My beliefs are conflicting and I know that whatever I believe in is very likely not how things actually work.

Every human activity is now set within a network or an intersection of many networks that are combining and will finally become a global network, it is thought, which will be the agent and expression of all possible combinations of networks. --Jaques Ellul, The Technological Bluff (1988) #technology #dystopia

  17. Pentagon Releases Newly Declassified Files on UFOs and UAPs, Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena

Specifically, because I follow the networks of the U.S. intelligence community and how they intersect with political objectives and interests of the U.S. government, I would be remiss if I did not point out that next month a Hollywood production by Stephen Spielberg is being released.

The Spielberg movie is called “Disclosure Day,” and the plot of the movie is the U.S. government informing the American people that alternative life systems, essentially alien entities, exist in our universe.  Perhaps it is a coincidental data point, perhaps not.  It is, however, a data point. You can decide if the two releases are related.

Today the Dept of War releases declassified files highlighting Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP).  The FILES ARE HERE. The files contain videos, images and witness statements.

A universe teeming with other worlds, realms and dimensions is a significant part of Buddhism. No Buddhist should be alarmed by evidence of other forms of sentience. Most of us, I suspect, will enjoy learning the government possesses proof of alien life, or even interdimensional life functioning right now on planet earth. What they actually reveal and how believable or censored it is, is another story. ABN

  24. After seeing the news that trans women prisoners in the US are being transferred to men's prisons under Trump's executive order, I have been reminded of #March8th 2019 when Women's Strike Assembly #London occupied the UK Ministry of Justice to protest against #transphobic measures to segregate incarcerated #trans women.
