For us, 8M is not a celebration. It is a day of protest. A day of rage. A day to be loud, to strike, to resist, and to stand in radical solidarity against the systems that exploit, brutalize, surveil, silence, and try to erase us.
FER and allied collectives call you to join us in building and nurturing a collective, grassroots, anti-patriarchal, anti-racist, anti-capitalist, anti-imperialist, anti-ableist, and trans-inclusive resistance, a resistance against all systems of oppression. ✊🏽
Because our struggle is a living one. It grows in our neighborhoods, in our communities, in our solidarities. And no matter how much they try to repress, divide, or exhaust us, we continue to take root. 🌿
📍 We gather at Blaak Station at 16:30 and move through the streets of Rotterdam, finalizing at WORM around 18:30.

Activist Lab – Food Justice

Want to become an activist or expand your skills in intersectional activism? Are you interested in radical food systems and climate justice? Are you between 18 and 30 years old and based in the Netherlands? Then join our free ACTIVIST LAB in Amsterdam from 28.-31.08. and learn how to act for radical food systems change!
During these 4 days, you will learn from ASEED and other groups in the movement about the struggle for agroecology and food autonomy. The programme will also include sessions such as a campaigning workshop, an action training, anti-oppression training, and sessions on well-being and regenerative practices in activism.
Whether you have some experience or are new to (intersectional food justice) activism, different experience levels are welcome. The activist lab is free of charge, and includes free meals. We can also offer some reimbursements for travel costs and provide sleeping spots for those not based in Amsterdam. We especially encourage people from marginalised backgrounds or with limited access to activist spaces and trainings, to apply!

I must admit (as an anarchist) that this is pretty good. Remember that #CrashCourse is part of #PBS, the US public broadcaster. Therefore I'm worried about their future under the Trump-regime.
But yes I have some criticism and that's about their attempt to have some criticism. At the end they give some bad examples of anarchism, as part of the criticism that because of a lack of central control, everyone against the government can call themselves anarchist. Yes of course everyone can, but that doesn't mean that they are.
Let me explain. Anarchism is not only about anti-government or anti-state. Anarchism is about no authority, therefore no hierarchies and against authoritarianism. As a result anarchists are against every form of #oppression, including economic oppression like #capitalism, gender oppression like #sexism and the #patriarchy, #racism, #fascism, #LGBTIQIA-hate, oppression against #nature and #animals (#ecocide), and yes also against nation #states (and their oppressing tools like the #police, the #military and #nationalism) and of course their governments.
Some call this #intersectional, some call it total liberation/struggle. Our tools are mutual aid, direct action and #prefiguration.

A Texas judge on Thursday said the Barbers Hill Independent School District can punish a Black student who wears his hair in long locs without violating Texas’ new CROWN Act, which is meant to prevent hairstyle discrimination in schools and workplaces.
The decision came after a months - long dispute between the district and Darryl George, a junior at Barbers Hill High School who has been sent to in-school suspension since August for wearing his hair in long locs. Legislators last year passed a law called the Texas CROWN Act that prohibits discrimination on the basis of hair texture or protective styles associated with race. Protective styles include locs, braids and twists.
