International Assembly – Wir sind international!
Fünf Tage intensiver Austausch mit acht Professor*innen aus fünf Ländern auf dem Campus der EH Ludwigsburg.
Acht Professor*innen waren diese Woche im Rahmen der International Assembly an der Evangelischen Hochschule, sie kommen aus den Philippinen, aus Peru, Uganda, Kanada und Indien. Es waren tolle Begegnungen, volle Hörsäle, Gespräche, die sich auf den Fluren, im Park oder in der Mensa fortsetzten.
„Für uns sind die Theorieansätze aus dem globalen Süden, insbesondere dekoloniale Perspektiven, aber auch der vorgestellte ökofeministische Ansatz extrem wichtig, weil sie Perspektiven auf Handlungsfelder und den Gegenstand der Sozialen Arbeit erweitern“ erklärt Prof. Dr. Rolf Ahlrichs nach einer Vorlesung von Prof. Peace Musiimenta. Sie kommt von der Makere University in Uganda, die als das „Harvard Afrikas“ gilt. „Die Themen sind globale Herausforderungen, denen eben nur gemeinsam, global und solidarisch begegnet werden kann.“
„Soziale Arbeit ist nie neutral, sondern immer auf eine bestimmte Weltanschauung und eine Vorstellung von gutem Leben als Individuum und Gesellschaft bezogen“, sagt Prof. Dr. Björn Görder nach der Vorlesung von Prof. Tina Wilson von der University of British Colombia in Kanada mit 70.000 Studierenden. „Das wird uns besonders bewusst, wenn wir in die Geschichte schauen und wenn wir uns mit anderen Kulturen und Ländern beschäftigen.“
International Assembly – We are international!
Five days of intensive exchange with eight professors from five countries on the EH Ludwigsburg campus.
Eight professors were at the Protestant University of Applied Sciences this week as part of the International Assembly, coming from the Philippines, Peru, Uganda, Canada, and India. There were great encounters, full lecture halls, and conversations that continued in the hallways, in the park, or in the cafeteria.
"For us, theoretical approaches from the Global South—especially decolonial perspectives, but also the ecofeminist approach presented—are extremely important because they expand perspectives on fields of action and the subject matter of Social Work," explains Prof. Dr. Rolf Ahlrichs after a lecture by Prof. Peace Musiimenta. She comes from Makerere University in Uganda, which is considered the "Harvard of Africa." "The topics are global challenges that can only be met together, globally, and in solidarity."
"Social Work is never neutral, but always related to a certain worldview and a vision of a good life as an individual and a society," says Prof. Dr. Björn Görder after the lecture by Prof. Tina Wilson from the University of British Columbia in Canada, which has 70,000 students. "We become particularly aware of this when we look at history and when we engage with other cultures and countries."

Breiter Weg 32-34, MagdeburgAktuell befindet sich in der Nähe von Eisleben ein Abschiebegefängnis im Bau. Schon dieses Jahr wird der Bau fertig und ab 2027 sollen dort Menschen inhaftiert und dann aus der Haft abgeschoben werden. Doch warum werden überhaupt Menschen eingesperrt, die keine Straftat begangen haben? Wer ist von Abschiebehaft betroffen und welche Verhältnisse herrschen hinter den Mauern?
In dem Vortrag wollen wir aufzeigen, was Abschiebehaft ist und warum sie auf allen Ebenen zu bekämpfen ist. Außerdem informieren wir über den aktuellen Bau in Volkstedt und wollen mit euch darüber ins Gespräch kommen.
