I flip back and forth between #HeliBoard and #FUTO.
The only thing keeping me on FUTO is the fact that it fixes the annoyance of #AOSP Android assuming that hyphenated-words are new words and trying to spell-correct them. If Heliboard ever fixes that bug, I'll be on it forever. It's so close to perfect now, it's ridiculous.

Ich suche ein Notenleseprogramm für Android, welches nicht auf Google angewiesen ist. Mein Aktuelles läuft über den Google PlayStore und ich müsste es doppelt (Backup-Gerät) neu bezahlen. Da überlege ich tatsächlich, um ein Umstieg sinnvoll ist.
Option auf Fußpedal brauche ich nicht, aber möglichst viele Bearbeitungsmöglichkeiten wären super.Jemand Vorschläge?

ich suche für meine Android-App FOSS Browser noch Übersetzer. Im Moment ist die App in 27 Sprachen übersetzt. Die meisten Sprachen sind vollständig, aber bei einigen fehlen noch Teile der Übersetzung:

- #Chinesisch
- #Finnisch
- #Hebräisch
- #Persisch
- #Serbisch
- Serbisch (lateinisch)
- #Vietnamesisch.
Wenn ihr also selbst eine der Sprachen könnt oder jemanden kennt, der sie beherrscht, könnt ihr mir helfen. Ihr könnt euch auch gerne melden, wenn ihr FOSS Browser in eine neue Sprache übersetzen wollt, die noch nicht unterstützt wird.
Ihr würdet einen kleinen Beitrag für eine großartige Open-Source-Gemeinschaft leisten. Freie Software lebt von der Gemeinschaft. Auch von denjenigen, die nicht programmieren können. Hier könnt ihr helfen. Danke.

I'd like to hear opinions on FOSS Browser for #android. I've had it installed for quite some time, but rarely open it anymore since site redirection (#nitter/#redlib/#invidious) is almost pointless now. Is it something I should prolly have another go at, or just stick with #Firefox as I've been doing? Maybe there's something else I should try? -

Sicherheitsloch in Android
In einer zentralen Systemkomponente von Android wurden zwei Sicherheitslücken entdeckt, die von ihren Eigenschaften her stark nach Hintertür riechen. Durch die eine Lücke, CVE-2025-48593, kann ein Angreifer Schadcode einschleusen und die heimlich komplette Kontrolle über das Gerät übernehmen, ohne dass irgendeine Benutzer-Interaktion nötig wäre (Zero-Klick)! Der genaue Angriffsvektor, mit dem man diese Lücke(n) ausnutzen kann, wurde noch nicht veröffentlicht. Bisher gibt es keine Berichte über eine Ausnutzung für Angriffe.
Die Lücke steckt im FOSS-Anteil von Android, AOSP. Deshalb betrifft sie auch sämtliche darauf aufbauenden Custom-ROM.

I don't know why the newer version of Element on Android is called as Element X. Perhaps it is intentional to have the session on setting call it as "Element X Android", like some sort of crossover from both Element and Android.
